Well while I've got the Spit templates out I can skin this one as well. Any links to profiles or photos would be a help, camo preferably as I haven't done a bare metal Spit and its a lot of extra work.
Maybe we could have an Israeli/Egyptian scenario, Spits v Spits and 109s.

yay greebo lol ill post links soon

would black and white pics help?
-
I usually like a photo or two if I'm going to submit the skin to HTC as extra proof, but in this case its less important. Its nice to be able to see the level of weathering though.
I like No 26, is that what you mean by black and red? Also are there any IAF paint swatches in that book?

nope this is old black 57

Greebo - As far as I am aware ALL Israeli Spits would be post war, so HT won't take them.
I think thats why evenheim mentioned "for offline use".
-
im sure he knows but they are usefull for scenarios, i believe we had a scenario of egypt v israel independence war a long while ago

Hi Kev, I realise this isn't for online use, although I can see how my previous post could be read that I was intending to submit it.
OK, I'll start on 57. Looking at the B&W photo of it, the numbers and markings are different to the modern warbird. The style of number isn't the same, the roundel is smaller, the spinner looks a lighter colour than the stripe and there is a circle around the noseart. Do you have any preference for which I do?
-
i think the modern bird looks better ;) lol
-
The photo also has the rudder stripes angled, not straight as they are on the modern incarnation.
-
true although it is the same a/c its gone through a few layers of paint :aok
-
Not saying I dont like the way it looks on the modern one, just pointing out the differences.
Warbirds don't usually make the best references for historically accurate schemes, but they got taht one pretty damn close. :aok

I've finished black 57 and put it up at The AH Skin Department (http://www.ah-skins.com/)

Just to clarify, the photos of the flying Spit in those markings. It is the same Spit as the original.
It was flown by Ezer Weizman and was kept in flying condition.
