So, I'm getting out of my truck after work today and had to do a double take, a freaking B-17 lifting off from Centennial airport. Not something you see every day around here. Talked to a co-worker and found out it is "Aluminum Overcast" operated by the EAA and is here for their "Keep it Flying 2007" tour. It will be on display through the 18th for all you guys in Colorado.
For a mere $400, you too can have a ride in a piece of history (too pricey for me though :cry )
Awesome to see and hear a beautiful vintage bird rumble overhead!!!:aok

WOOO! I work fairly near Centennial, didn't hear it though. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

I saw it a couple weeks ago in Eugene. Sky was pouring, overcast at maybe 500 feet (right on the deck) and I hear the distinctive howl of those four engines as I'm at a birthday party in the park. I get out from under the trees and the clouds are higher in one spot because I see the AO fly past through a gap. Must've been in the soup, but it was great to see.
