Title: My squadron
Post by: BlueJ1 on June 12, 2007, 11:06:39 PM
I graduate A school next week. Go on leave after 7 months of being away from home. Then come back to San Diego for my C school. After that I leave for Norfolk Virgina. A 12 hour drive from home. My ultimate duty station. I will be working on Sea king and MH-60 helicopters. Also unmanned drones. Heres my squadron's link and some pictures on the ugly but beautiful aircraft I'll be spending the rest of my career working on.

Thanks guys. Its good to know some guys from around the area and find things to do on off hours.

I'll be buying a car when I go home to NY. Then driving it down to VA when I move out there in awhile.

Even if I hate it I dont mind. its the military, its a job/life. I didnt sign up because I liked the job. I signed up so yall could stay home and get drunk, eat good food, and get laid in a safe country. A sacrifice Im willing to make so I'll be able to do the same down the line. :aok

for that service, we do appreciate it!

Bear in mind too that when I was at Norfolk from '87 - '90 parking was at a premium and was only allowed to E4 and above.  Look into it before you drive down there and make sure there won't be any problems.

I called my command because I had to check in. I got the low down on it all. But as of the way of the military things like to change quickly. Im going to go there first for a week or two. Find out the real deal. Then bring it down.

Tell the guys in HC-6 and HC-8 I said hello.  They were embarked on my ship to do our vertreps and I got to know a lot of those guys pretty good.  Of course, none of them will be there now!
