Im trying to get into some American aircraft, so I spent the first half of the night in the AvA flying a P-38G, and the second half in LW Orange in a P-47 D-20. Here are some screenshots I took.

It seems you don't have the transitions option enabled in your video settings.Try enabling it, doesn't take fps and terrain will look somewhat better.

Yeah, when I left the game last, my lag and warping was HORRIBLE, so I disabled a lotta stuff trying to find the cause. Im still finding what I can, and cannot enable.
