Guys, I know about the profiles. I select profile 2, the vehicle and ship profile, and the problem is I am unable to set my X and Y axis to anything but the "analog" controls. All of the other control radio buttons in the "modify" dialog box are grayed out. At first I thought it was just a problem with my 7 year old Microsoft Sidewinder II joystick, even though when I played this game last year I ran vehicles just fine.
Nope, I bought a CH Combatstick today and set it up and it has the exact same bug. I go in and the only things I can set the joystick for (X and Y axis) is analog controls, and moving and turning vehicles and turrets are not part of the analog controls.
Anyone know what the heck is wrong? Until I get this figured out I cannot run ground vehicles or LVTs and whatnot, at least not using the joystick.

Look at TC's links, but I found the first thing I did was copy mode 1 to mode 2 (there is a way to do this). Second, make sure you have are automatically switching to mode 2 when in a vehicle. It's possible you are still in mode 1 when you up a GV.

^^ That's exactly what I did, then changed the relevant buttons and scalings. I'd bet that's your problem. Make sure you've got the mode buttons mapped if you're not using auto.

While they are not in the listing of analog controls they do in fact use your analog controller to control them.
Examples [1] The gas and brake for vehicles is forward and back on the joystick. [2] Steering vehicles left or right is left or right movement of your controller. [3] Traversing a turret left or right is left or right movement of your controller.
