Just for chits and giggles, thought I'd share this as it was strange, confusing and funny to watch. Just about the dweeb-est, lame-est gameplay I've seen yet. Well, maybe not, but it's up there. LOL
Tonight, in LW Orange, I and another bish go up to intercept a rook B17 bombing an inactive, out of the way base, i.e. milkrun. OK, fine, his nickle and he wants to add cream to his bomber score. He makes one pass then heads out, I and the other guy climb and give chase, but it's pointless (as he is well over 15-16K) unless he turns for second run, which I figure he might (as he didn't hit much the first time) so I keep after him.
While I'm close distance and altitude he's now near his base, and clearly going to make it home. I'm well out of icon range, the other bish closer, but nowhere near to making an attack. Then as the bish looks to get into icon range of him, only 1-2K from landing at his home base, he augers all three buffs. First he milkruns a very lame buff attack, then auger when he's pretty much home free and no one has even shot at him???
Some few minutes later, he's back again, same base, doingy the same thing, attacking, run for home, auger when a fighter gets within icon range.
After seeing this a couple more times with othe bish (I'm busy elsewhere, but watch the map for him), I'm finally overtakeing with curiosity as to who is so lame as to play this way, and wondering what he gets out of it. I want to ask him if I can find out who he is. He's not getting any real score for this, so is he a newb who can use a training session or what?
Anyway, I up a 110 and loiter over the base, want to kill just one buff so I can find out who he is. Sure enough he heads in, but I figure he saw my DAR in sector and decided to bypass the base just outside radar, heading further south. With lots of alt and speed I intercept anyway and surprise him from up high to make two kill passes before he augers his last buff. He promptly logs off before I can ask what he was up to.
So, any other supremely lame game moves anyone else care to contribute?

yep same thign happend to me with a 190, and then there was this one time i was landing more than a few kills in my pony i was bingo ammo bingo fuel, so im like ok ill land on the cv. I get venscrew(back when he was a rook) to escort me to cv we suddenly spot an a8 coalt and freakin loaded with e he attempts to ho me but i evade, then i basically make a run for the cv ack, considering i have no means to fight, vans is in a chog and trys to take the guy on but after like 30 bnz attempts he hoes vans right in the noggin and boom, while i in the meanwhile land my kills on the cv with a dead engine and no ammo, i felt so bad that i kinda sorta plasterd his name on channel 200 ;) i felt really bad as vans had quite a few kills as well XD sorry vans

Gv's defending Vbases towering out before bombs kill them, and reupping, if attackers try to bomb them before taking down the hangars... but i cannot think which dastardly person would ever do such a thing, can you Batfink? :t

Well last night took the cake for me got me all mad. There was a fair bit of furball going on between the bish and Rooks with the v base in between which I think changed hands about 7- 8 times. Rooks even though having a constant ENY of 20 to 12 every time I wanted to up something, did outnumber the bish were not uping in numbers to defend these bases.
I up a 38 had head out about 4 min into the flight I see 2 low sef attacking the v base I dive the first sef breaks left while the other pulls straight up and goes for the ho I pull my stick back do a high yo-yo and come down on him low throttle and make short work of the first guy. I check my 6 the see the other sef now closing in on me fast I turn into him and he starts firing. I do a side slip pull up and roll then I put the 38 into a zoom climb the sef tries to follow but lacks the e I ease in the throttle going up and over come down on him taking his wing off. 2 noobs taken care of I think to myself. I see a f6f who has just dropped his bombs on the V base and is higher in alt diving in I pull hard into him making him over shoot. After extending a bit I turn into now it’s 1 on 1 fair fight he starts shooting at 800 out on the merge. Well after a while he was downed as well.
Finally Decided to take the fight over the bish base see a la on my 12 who misses the HO dives down and run to his base. After a while see about 5 conns heading towards me 3 nikks, la, ki all of them have about 3 k of alt on me. Don’t like the odds I dive to put some distance and gain speed. In the mean while 2 friendly’s show up and I’am dragging about 5 of them on the deck ki an experienced pilot breaks off and heads back. I swing back to engage the closest plane the la which misses on the ho and after a brief struggle I was able to get the upper hand and down him.
Now the I head into the 3 nicks who are engaged with the friendly’s. The first one see’s me closing on his 6 turns around and goes for the ho but neither him or I can turn fast enough to connect. I set my eye on the other nik # 2 who is now turned around and starts to fire on the HO. I do a side slip pull up and roll then zoom out of the fight. Coming back now the friendly’s are making passes at the nik’s I set my self up to attack dive in on the Nik # 3 and what does he do yeah loop up to go Head On, well I do a hi yo-yo again come back but he turned out of the way. I bit lower then him is Nik #2 who see’s me turns left rolls up again on the HO I try to pull up but I lost had lost bit of air speed trying to turn with Nik #3 on my way down. And he gets me trying to avoid the ho for the 8 th time or 9th I lost count all these are diff pilots flying with lower eny planes and number’s on there side. Well i give them the Lame O Award
Well this was my rant I’am done being mad now I want to get even for the next 2 night I’am HO’ing every bish I see.

This bomb and bail crap happens almost daily. Not having a dig just stating what I have witnessed but more often than not it's some bish gamer type suiciding hangers at low alt. Bang the hangers bail repeat. I have seen some knights do it also and when I've called a couple out on it. They both said the same thing "whats the problem you got the kills didn't you"

Once again, another pointless whine about how someone doesn't play the game the way you want them to...
We all think from time to time "I wish that guy would stop running, turn and fight". But I don't presume to try and insult him into a different action, and I certainly wouldn't bore everyone by posting about it..
-
Another one is the ones who alt f4 as soon as you get in behind them. I have learned that if you know who the guys are who do it just spray all of the bombers don't even try to drop them so long as you just get a hit on them when they alt f4 bingo many numerous kills.
-
Exactly, if you suspect a bomber boys will bail on ya,...hose em from 1500 and hope ya see a few sparks, before they bail.:D
-
I too have had bombers from the Bish side bomb and bail on me more than once.... makes me :furious but there is nothing I can do to stop it.
-
This bomb and bail crap happens on about 25-50% of all my intercepts. Really lame way to play the game imo.
I film every sortie, and when you review the film its easy to see who was in the buff formations. Most of the time the buffbailers are rook, and without naming names, the one offender i have caught the most times (on film) also spends alot of time in EW/MW arenas. He claims he doesnt do it, but film is very hard fake :)

I'll auger sometimes in buffs. Heck I do it in fighters. But only if nobody is trying to kill me. I'll give the guy a chance first and either kill them or them me. But if all it looks like is a long ride home with no action, and I didnt kill anyone, screw it. They make new ones everyday.

Sorry Vulcan, maybe similar to your post as it is voicing an opinion of someone else's gameplay, but not really the same as your's because -
(a) From the tone of my comments I think it was obvious to everyone but you, thatI didn't really care that he did that. I just wondered what his reasoning was and/or what purpose or enjoyment he could possibly be getting from it, and
(b) since I wasn't angry or pissed, or wanting to embarrass him, unlike you, I didn't name him.
MY POINT was I it was very strange activity, and I've seen alot of strange stuff in two years here. I just couldn't understand what or why he was doing what he was doing as it didn't make any real sense from my perspective. He wasn't getting any real points, and he wasn't enjoying any fight, and it seemed to served no purpose (not even a decent milkrun) I could figure, AND he did it repeatedly. It was like he was banging his head against a brick wall, so when he stopped, it would feel good. LOL
It was funny, strange, curious and IMO lame, unless he was new and simply didn't understand the game well. Hey, I had to give it some title, so from my perspective and without knowing his reasoning (which I probably never will) it seemed lame.
Finally, the further reason for the post was to find out what other especially strange or 'lame' incidents of gameplay (with a hopefully humorous point of view) others have seen lately and could recount. All as I think I stated in the beginning, just for "chits and giggles."
Actually a big difference from your post Boy-yo.

I bomb a lot, and I'll auger if I'm empty and otw home and don't feel like wasting the time landing. Other than that, I'd rather turn my empty B17s back over the base I just hit and get into a gun duel with the guys trying to protect the base. Heck - every fighter I can down or get to waste ammo on my empty buffs just opens the place up a little more for my squaddies, and dragging the fighter cover off station works just as well.
What are you gonna do with bomber perks anyway other than up some Ar-234s every once in a while? Bailing or discoing when the fighters are about to attack is ridiculously lame. Post the names and subject them to the ridicule they deserve.

In my opinion the new arenas have gotten a lot more unhealthy then the main arena ever was.
The Straffers:
You mention a gv attack and 6 to 7 people will up in planes and straffe the GV's knowing full well the planes (i'm not talking IL2's or planes with strong enough cannons) that they are in are not going to kill a tank.
They do this knowing if they get enough hits on the vehicle they will get a kill by default (Someone else comes along with ORD or a friendly in GV will do the actual killing and they only get an assist).
A lot of these people will do this even though there is ORD available at the base. They also continue to do it when enemy aircraft are present, rather than going after the enemy planes they would rather go for the easy kill that someone else will get for them.
The Bombers:
The Bombers who will bomb GV bases and or airfields and then Auger. Or the classic Dive bombing that goes on with Bombers.
The Squeakers:
Thank God for Squelch. Sure would be nice to have a Perma-squelch feature that you could add/remove players from instead of having to squelch them on a daily baises.
The Hoer's
It seems anymore when a Plane aproaches you 7 out of 10 times it's going to be someone going for the HO.
I could go on but what's the point?
So how are these new arena's any healthier than the old MA?

DarkS1ar
Would you happen to be the Dark5tar in game if so were you talking about the Ho, when I shot you down??
If this is the case you may wish to rethink your version of events..
If not my apologies and feel free to continue your venting.....

Looks at the title of the thread "Lame-O Award"
Yup you keep telling yourself that sloehand :)

I'm a Bish and I see lots of Bomb n Bail guys particularily hitting VB's, only a few on higher alt missions but the point is all countries seem to have their B'n'B guys so quit Bish Bashin'.
-
While there are times I sort of understand why they do it, the game should award the perkies to the closest plane, regardless of distance. That would encourage the fight.
When is it ok? I have seen guys bomb a base, auger, then come right back to bomb again. I don't do that, but I see the logic.
Of course, if my rule about waiting 5 minutes to re-up after a death or capture were in the game, this might change, too :)

My LAME-O award..
LAST night, Orange, by a certain country ending in -OP.
A certain disputed field, between bish and rooks.
5 vs 1, situation CO-ALT... or i was a bit below their alt. I was in a Yak Tango.
By myself, no other friendlies in the tile, let alone icon range.
First one.. HO... i evade right.
Second one..HO.. i evade back left.
THIRD ONE...HO... knocks off elevator.
FOURTH ONE..HO.. i dive to evade.
FIFTH ONE.. HO.. kills radiator.
I split S, reverse, and get saddled on one of em, an LA-7,
who runs to ack.. which subsequently kills me. Lol..it's just a game, but that is lame.
And by HO, i don't mean the current excuseable "high deflection shot" scenario... I mean center of windscreen, in the pipper, HEAD ON SHOT. I am subsequently rethinking my "NO HO attitude" to that of a "BISH ONLY" HO policy. Does not apply to knights though. I can get a good, decent fight outta them... and get my fanny waxed 60% percent, or more, of the time, HAVING FUN.

Whenever I run into someone who HOs me, I smile because more than likely I am about to get an easy kill.
When I run into someone that avoids the HO like I do, I know I am in for a tough fight.
That more than makes up for the occasional time when I don't successfully avoid the HO.

Only 7 out of 10? You lucky bastage.
I love the guys who, when you try to evade their HO, immediately claim" It wasn't a HO, it was a high deflection shot" These morons think that because you tried to evade the HO/collision and then they kicked ruuder for a gun solution that it somehow wasn't a HO. Noobs

Lame-O Award nominee:
The guy you kill comes back to pick you while you are fighting 2 others.
