Hi,
New problem i have encountered:
I made one big flat object, covering 4 square miles.I use that as a background for smaller flat objects.I set the big object zbias to 1, to have it to show above water tile, and smaller objects have the zbias set to 2, to show above the big object.Problem is, in te and in game, when looked from most of the angles, smaller objects show up below the big object. Both objects have transparent areas, using or not using the stencilalpha tag does not help.
Help needed please.

I believe 'Y' is the alt ajustment for objects.

Hehe you have yet to learn, that unfortunately has nothing to do with it;)

"...one big flat object, covering 4 square miles."
That is the problem... we're not allowed to have objects cross over tile lines, as it creates unsolvable Zbias issues. Split it into 4 pieces and you should be fine.

Unfortunately, i have done that, and strangely enough, same problem.I'm banging my head off the wall.
edit: i guess i'll keep trying.
I hate this, make new trees, many new objects, textures, all in one day. Then i spend the next week solving one damned problem.Happens on every map.
But i'm still hooked.

Welcome to my Hell. :aok
Have you tried ZBias=0 instead of 1? And I assume you're putting all of this together in the OE, correct?
Have you tried the Terrain=1 tag? Or how about group "Ground" instead of "Objects"? It may make a difference.

You are aware that 99% of what they are talking about relates to the object editor not the terrain editor aren't you?
-
A lot of what they say in the help files is for compatibility, it doesn't resolve AC3D or TE related issues.

Nvm, fixed

For future reference, what did you do to fix the issue?
