...if I do say so myself.

I'm quite pleased with the way this turned out.

It must have been so difficult, placing each and every plant exactly where you wanted. :p
-
It would better if there were a flying saucer in the distance. ;)
Still, it's nice.
-
Very nice. Artist in the making...
Could you try variation without the moon?
For some reason moon distract me away from otherwise excellent composition and all of my attention goes to the right side (but this is probably just me).

That UFO can't be real. It must have been photoshopped into that otherwise stellar photograph.
:noid

This has the be the correct image of the UFO over the mountains.

I'm sure there's a Nilsen lurking in there somewhere. ;)

cool pic, try working with split toning or the duo tone mode in photoshop. allows you to get a little more subtlety out of your toning -- unless the sepia thing is your deal, personally i find it overused.
also make sure your verticals are vertical. the right crossing pole is leaning to the left. perspective is very important in photography. this is why many use large format cameras, for precise depth of field and perspective controls. Edit > Transform > Perspective in photoshop will allow you to do this.
just for fun's sake:

I think I like the original image better, looks sharper, more stark,... personally I like the moon in the shot, might have looked better if the moon was larger
-
Where's the train?
-
Needs more boobies tbh.
-
About 800 yds out, by the third boulder on the right. Bigfoot.
Trust me, he's there.
-
you build railroads?
-
verrry nice sandman :)
-
nice... i like the hyper sharpening effect. the monotone adds a nostalgic feel, but i think i'd like the actual hues better. the photo looks like it was taken in late winter/early spring, btw 0630 - 0730 hrs facing southeast.
-
Sandy,
A work of art. I love it.

Doh... it never occurred to me to dink with the perspective to fix the verticals. Thanks!

I'll give it a go... but I must admit that I like having the moon in there. :)

Very cool. I'm giving it a run on the desktop background to replace the x-rayed makarov I currently use. The original is pretty nice too.
Charon

The tinting gives it a Mars "flavor" similar to the shots from the Mars Rover.
Nice shot there.
-
If I lived there I would take up photography too!!!You must get so lonely.
Nice pic.:aok

Very nice Sandy~!

That really is fantastic!
How far away from home is this place? Post Google Earth coordinates if you don’t mind.

Guys, guys....
If it's gonna be a UFO, it's gotta be one we can all relate to:

Is it better to have your work Photchopped, or ignored?

I think your camera is broken, as the sky is supposed to be blue. Occasionally it is black.

That's not a moon..........THIS is a moon!
All joking aside, I think your picture is great. I love the color, texture and especially the sky. I'm betting you used a polarization filter to achieve that wonderful gradient.

Thanks. You would lose the bet. Just a standard UV filter and early morning light. :)

Now that one is my new background. I like that one. I need to start getting out and trying some stuff with my Pentax K100 and see what cool shots I can take.
