Title: Would love to reinstall and play again...

Hey all,

Not sure whats the problem, but I reinstalled my AH to give it another shot, used to play a few years ago, but I haven't been able to get past the video optimization screen.

It loads up the progress bar, scrolls through about 4 planes then seems to lock up. Only way out is to bring up task manager and it's listed as not responding.

Any ideas please? For a willing person looking to sub again :D


UPDATE: I searched and found the thread related to AH and it's dislike for Athlon 64 X2's and downloaded the pathes. I got past the caching but now it froze as I was entering in my sub info....

What... the...heck.

EDIT- BTW Im running an AMD Athlon 64 4200 w/ 1 GIG ram and a ATI X1300 256 mb card with latest drivers (tried this w/ old drivers first)

Server locations changed so if you're trying to load from a very old game it wont connect correctly.
Get the latest version from the download page and try again.

Definately need to download and install the latest version.
