I recently installed an old copy of Mig Alley on my computer. When I try to start it, I get the following blue box message:
Sys Error
Not enough virtual memory. Wanted 18731ok, Got 708676K phys, and 2782288K virtual
Is there anyway I can adjust something and get this to run on a newer computer?
P4 3.0, 2 G RAM, 256 M Vid card, etc.
Thanks!

Try running it Win98 compatibility mode. If that doesn't work, there may be a third party patch out there somewhere to get it to run with XP or Vista. Good luck.

Thanks for the hellp Sundowner - but, it still gives me the same error messages as before. Darn it - I had my hopes up there for a little while . . . .
It'd be a whole lot easier if HTC wold come out with a Korean War Arena . . . . (hint, hint )

Bummer, bud.:(
You may wanna Google search "run mig alley XP" or something similar and explore some of the results.
There may be some tricks/suggestions out there that wasn't included on the link I posted.
Luck.

Sucess! Well, sort of . . . .
I followed your suggestion, found some additional tweaks, still kept getting the memory error message, so . . . . . I started playing around with the virtual memory settings in the CP, and changed them from 1024 m to something like 2480 - and all of a sudden, it started working! However, I can't for the life of me get my joystick to work. The game shows that it recognizes that I have a Saitek X45 hooked up, and I can select it for throttle, views, everything, but it still refuses to work at all. I am able to fly from the keyboard - just like back in the 80's, but don't really want to regress back to that era for controls. It is neat to get the game up and running and marvel at what we used to think were "stunning" graphics!:)
Thanks again for your suggestions!
Now if only HTC modeled an F-86 and a MIG-15 . . . . .

:aok
Its fun to get those creaky old games to run again and recall some of the fun times that were had. :)
I got "Microsoft Space Simulator" running the other day.
Brought back some memories.
