Your site  has been such a huge help in understanding the different planes in AH and how they handle.

Any chance on updates to site?

And thanks for what you have already done. It is appreciated.

I've been really torn about my webpages and whether to update or take them down.  Being inactive in the MA I'm not sure I'll update the pages again as I've been online very little in the last year.

As everybody in here quickly copies everything in sight (LOL).

Gotta' love the internet and dead links.

You ought to do what Kylander did, and publish yours hard copy and make a buck at it.  You would have a definite following of guys willing to hand over bucks.

There is a guy in Boston, a college student, that invented a second hard drive bracket for my Dell 3000 series.  It is an easy to do, do it yourself, assembly.  He hired a die making shop to stamp it for him.  He includes the necessary hardware and ribbon to install it.  Everything is done US Postal money orders.  He still makes tons of cash on it.

If I can chime in, I have no doubt any updates (spit VIII, spit XVI, eg.) would be very much appreciated. I find myself looking at them every couple of days.

Another "thank you" for the great amount of effort you put into the existing guide.

Please under no circimstances take them down and I think HTC should pay you to update with each new plane.

For me at least they significantly improve my enjoyment of the game.

I third that.  I was just on your page again looking for info on the Spit 8.

Updates would be GREATLY appreciated.  Your site is probably the most useful for a n00b like me.

Please don't take them down. The site is still very valuable to newcomers and old alike.

I can see where updates would be tough if your not flying much.

Thanks for reply and thanks again for the time you put into giving us useful info.

Maybe Widewing or some others can contribute and add to the site on the newer stuff.

I won't take them down, not to worry, not without a whole lot of warning and I more likely I'd hand them over to someone to host.  The overhead to host as-is is almost zero for me though so that's not an issue.  I would really like to get an update out for them though as I know some of the info is inaccurate given all the updates to the flight models and such since I last spent a lot of time on them.

Don't hold your breath on a major update but I'm not saying there might not be some smaller updates at some point.

Soda,
I have been around this game since day one and I have studied your pages more than probably any others.   May I take this opportunity to say a hearty thank you!?  It would be a shame to lose them.

Why not recruit some help from the likes of Widewing, TC, Murdr, et. al. who obviously know all these planes inside and out?  I'm sure they would be willing to help you get them up to date.  Out of all the stuff written about AH, your aircraft evaluations are the best!  Absolutely!  These documents must not die!

Soda, Aces High Trainer Corps,

Why not consider hosting this data on the trainer's websight? That way, the trainers (with the help of some technically competent volunteers) could update the FM's as they are upgraded and keep the contents current. The burden of maintaining this data as new planes are added or the FM's changed is (to me at least) too much for any single individual.

My $.02,

Regards,
Optiker

I'm not flying much, too, that's why you haven't seen me around ;) That lawyer stuff is going slowly, but in the right direction: I made the written examination in december and had the result (positive) a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm waiting for the oral examination, should be around the end of the year or the beginnig of 2008, I don' know for sure yet. I've not heard from Schatzi and Schutt in a long while... and they're not posting on the BBS since April, about. Who knows what's up....
