Title: Windows error on game start-up

Every time i try to start the game I get the stupid generic windows error "aceshigh.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" (which is one reason i dual-boot with linux). I never get to any menus or see any text just black, black, black, WHITE, black, *error.* Any ideas on what is going on here? My video card is out dated a little (to say the least) but I'm not sure of the system requirements for this game (I assure you I have thoroughly searched this forum, the site, and google and all I was able to glean was that I needed windows). I have also searched for a similar topic with a problem like this but haven't found anything specific. Any help is appreciated.

post your computer specs, and the first third of a DXdiag report. The gurus will look thru it and see if they can find a reason for you.
