Very talented piano player imo. I've always like the sound of the piano. She has a beautiful voice as well, I could listen to her sing all day long regardless of the lyrics. :)

She has a touching voice and very talented. I've used that song for my Sister's 50th birthday video and documented pictures of her from birth to her 50th and there wasn't a dry eye in the room after the DVD finished.

Who is she.

Seriously, I don't recognize her.

Is it McLaughlin?  The voice sounds right, but I thought she had short hair and of a different color.

I played the duet with her and Josh Groban..was really nice.

Yes, it's Mclachlan.  She's amazing. Her & Allison Krause are my favorites.
Hap, I don't think I've ever seen her with the same hair color or cut twice.

I am burned out on "Angel" and "I Will Remember You", but I like most of her other stuff.  "Into the Fire" is really good.

She looks really good in her new ASPCA commercials too considering she is pushing 40.

In point of fact I rarely do anymore.  But, even if I did...so what?  Some of the wealthiest men in the world wear them everyday here.  Top business people who could buy everything you own and have ever owned, probably 100 times over.

Are you suggesting we are all gay or something?  Is that all you've got in any comeback to whatever I write?  That is just pathetically sad.

You seem to be stuck on this issue...like a badly played broken country music record.

Police in the US wear shorts to work in warm clients.  Postal workers as well.  Go give them a hard time.

Relax Curval. Take it in stride. They comment about my carpeted garage, but I'm used to it and now quite proud of being teased about it. :)

sheesh I just commented on a fact.  don't blow a vein in your head simply because your mothers dress you comically.  as far as suggesting you are gay, I'm not at all interested in your collective sexual pecadillos.  if you are happy as you are then why concern yourself with anyone's opinion?

Anytime you respond to something I write you mention the shorts.  YOU are the one who is obsessed.  It is an easy thing to prove.  If I get a few moments later I might just do so.

I'm just trying to figure out your obsession.  Generally I ignore your posts like an annoying little fly because that is about all you are or ever will be.  I mention the gay thing because maybe that is why you harp on about it.  Perhaps you are trying to flirt with me or something...like a little kid with a crush.

Well, the answer is no, so please stop trying.

Last song my 15 year old sang at school was a Sarah McLachlan song.

It was later sung at her funeral after her brother and she were killed in a car wreck.

That song still makes me cry.  "Pulled from the wreckage"  hits home hard, as does "arms of the angels"

Storch and Curval,  you guys crack me up :lol

You should take your act on the road, be the Abbott and Costello; Dean and Jerry; Burns and Allen;  of the 21st century :D

(On the Burns and Allen thing, I guess it would depend on how Storch looks in a dress though, probably should at least shave your legs)

LOL

Well, you be the judge (I am sitting in my office at the end of the day waiting for a call from overseas, so I have a bit of time):

No need to link this thread, the most recent mention of the shorts.

Then we go to this one:

"no. everyone knows utopia is where grown men wear shorts to work."

He threw that one in after I had responded to Moot in this thread:

http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=207531&highlight=shorts

I ignored the annoying little fly.

Then this one:

curval, that was a public service we provided you ingrates. we in our infinite wisdom knew that often times some of your citizens went wading with long trousers on. the agent orange cut those long trousers off just above the knee and created the keen new fashion of wearing bermuda shorts. I'm sure the pink was your idea. you guys hogged the credit.

In this thread:

http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=208715&highlight=shorts

Again, I ignored the annoying little fly.

As we go back further and the annoying little fly poops out this genius statement without any provocation:

slow news day in scooter pink shorts land?

That was in this thread:

http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=207505&highlight=shorts

Again, the annoying little fly was ignored.

A bit further back you say?  How about this, from a thread I never even posted in?

"or how to use your cricket bat and a pair of slightly soiled pink bermuda shorts to defeat any scooter thief."

The thread is here:

http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=202043&highlight=shorts

I never even knew the little annoying fly mentioned the shorts in that one until I did my search a few minutes ago.  Pesky little knat.

How about this one:

I looked up the word bigot and all I saw was a photo of some guy in pink shorts carrying an attache case. That can't be correct, can it?

Totally unprovoked...and again I did not respond.  It was in this thread:

http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=200987&highlight=shorts

Are we seeing a pattern yet?

Let's continue.

Here's another quote from the horrible little insect:

but but but you round around on a scooter and occasionally wear pink shorts to work.

That was from this thread:

http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=198515&highlight=shorts

I think he was upset and thought I was referring to him as an inbred hick.  I wasn't.  I don't think insects can be called inbred hicks.

Here he does another "fly by" shorts post:

would you wear pink shorts and go on a scooter?

That was from this thread:

http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=197953&highlight=shorts

No response from me again...just a swish of my hand and the bug goes away.

LOL...here's another I never even read until I did a quick search:

gimme a break please or soon we'll all be wearing pink shorts to work and whining about stolen scooters.

That was from this thread that I never posted in:

http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=182475&highlight=shorts

There's more, but I'm getting bored of this.  I've received my call and want to go home.

Pretty obvious from this that Storch is seriously obsessed.  Perhaps I squished his parents or something.  Or maybe he wants to have sex with me...I dunno.

Again Storch...it ain't gonna happen so just forget about it.

I think Storch and Curvey should listen to Angel in the Ipods, take a stroll down the beach together. Who knows what would become of their relationship, stranger things have happened!

It didn't take long at all to produce that "wall of text".

All I did was do an advanced search using your BBS name and the word shorts.  Then I copied and pasted the links and what you wrote adding a word or two myself.

I notice you won't comment on your obsession with me.  It's only a "wall of text" because there is so much of it on this BBS...and I didn't even reproduce all of them.

The first step is to admit you have a problem.  Maybe you'll find a cure.

curval, please accept my sincere apology for making sport of your country's Iconic garment and significant contribution to men's apparrel.  from here on out I'll find other things to poke fun at you with.  I had no idea you were so keenly sensitive on the shorts thing.  I like bermuda and bermudans I don't know why I've picked on you,  I have no excuse.

I will never be able to hear that song again without thinking of the day where I was proud and honored to participate in honoring someone who earned the respect of many.

68KO (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=247098412150431037)

Should I pass before my time and could have so many that knew me and did not know me take the time to participate in a memorial to me then the words on my tombstone that I hope for "loving husband, dedicated father, and respected man" would be a testiment that I hope to leave behind.

Love the song or hate it I am touched every time I hear it now.
