Today at the Cemetary at the USAF Academy, the airforce and some private warbird owners did a fly over to give a final send off to General Robin Olds.
Sir, God speed to you.
I saw most of it from my deck as they stage for the flyover above my house. I saw a T-33, P-51, F-84, 4 F-4's, and 4 F-16's and a Mig 17 or 19. I shot a bunch of pics, and will post later today.

No, Olds didn't get to go to Korea, and he was not happy about it. He had to get busted to keep from getting promoted during Vietnam. He was up for General, and went out hot dogging over the base to piss off the commanding general. It worked, he didn't get promoted, and he got sent to Vietnam instead. Just exactly what he wanted.
