think about the special arena missions you could fly with this thing!
germans got the 110, brits got the mosquito, why not give the americans the p61 black widow?
its a cool plane!

we have the P38,thay owns the mossie and the 110....and the P61 would need 2weeks to be made.

What Vanscrew is trying to say is...
The P-61 is a very common plane that is asked for but would not really benefit the game becuase of the P-38JL,J,G models. Oh and 2 weeks is a very very very long time.

p-61 is a great bird but we will never see it even if hitech wanted to they have alot on there plate already
-
Great, another airliner. Folks, we need fighters.
-
Two things, great gun package and good turn radius. this thing isn't the
turkey alot of "experts" here claim. 4 20mm on the centerline would be like
a giant bug zapper in the MA :D
-
4x 20mm in nose, 4x 50cals in turret that had 360/90 degree rotation. Imagine having the power of a P51B and a wing of a P47 in ur turret. FYI the turret could also lock foward and fire with the 20mms
would own

It would mainly be used for ground attack in AH. It is slower than the Mossie, Bf110 and MUCH slower than the P-38.

And with 4x1600lbs bombs (P-61B-10 and onward), it would be VERY tasty for ground attack :D

The P-61 was one of the tightest turning American fighters. Clean bird, no flaps, it would outturn everything on the U.S. side except the FM-2 and P-63 in real life.
Top speed wasn't all that great, but it was faster than the Wildcat and about on a par with the P-40 Warhawk. Diving speed was fantastic. Climb speed was slow.
If introduced to AH...it would catch a fair number of people by surprise. Well-flown it would hand many a cocky armchair fighter jock his head.

bah, more fodder for the 110 of love. bring it on.

yay another airliner to tater woot!
