2010 Heisman will be an OT from the Iowa Hawkeyes named Brian Bulaga.... He is my cousin :D
-
The Heisman winner will not come from the Big East....count on it; not enough high profile teams to play against.
Also the Heisman winner will not come from the SEC...count on it. I hate saying that because I live in the heart of SEC country and I would love to see one come out of here. The fact that ESPN now has a bias against the SEC will ensure that unless McFadden rushes for 2500 yards and catches another 1000 and throws for 10+ TD's will mean no Heisman winner for the SEC.
You can bet that ESPN will force another Big Ten, Big Twelve or Pac Ten winner on us once again. Its better for their ratings if they have the winner come out of those three conferences.
Look at the last 10 Heisman winners and you will see the bias. The one that still pisses me off is Charles Woodson. That over rated CB that everyone thought was the best player......Boy I better not get on a rant here.

It's ok, I've lived in Michigan my whole life and am a Tennessee Volunteers fan. I am also GLAD that Woodson won the Heisman, because it has been a curse with the exception of Barry Sanders.
The SEC is the Premier Conference in College Football and has been for the last 10 years. The Big Ten has Michigan and Michigan. The Pac 10 has UCLA and USC. The Big 12 has Okie, and Texas.
The SEC has Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee. Alabama will take a year or two to get Saban back in it.
ESPN College Gameday.........LMFAO do they suck. Take a has been Coach, a has been Quarterback and you have nothing.

That one really twisted my titties. They give it to the only defensive player the year there's the most outstanding QB of his generation? Next year another CB Champ Bailey has better numbers, did more on offense and has a better nickname and doesn't get jack?
Trailer trash my big 'ol butt.

:huh  THE Ohio State University?

McFadden was clearly the best player in the nation last year. ESPN even said he was "the Best Running Back in the SEC since Bo Jackson." And they gave it to that overrated nobody from that big school.
-
McFadden may well put up the kind of big numbers that Reschke mentioned in his post. Arkansas has one of the weakest schedules it's had in years. Four of the games are guaranteed, big-time blowouts against weak-sister teams:
Troy
North Texas
Tennessee-Chattanooga
Florida International (HC)
Arkansas' running attack is the strongest in the nation. The quarterback situation is frighteningly poor. Casey Dick will have to have an outstanding season...which he showed no signs of being able to deliver the final four games of 2006.
If McFadden gets hurt it's going to be a looonnnggg season for the Hogs.

The Big 12 has Okie, and Texas.
Nebraska will make their mark again this year. Bill Callahan is rebuilding that program. In his 3rd year he was competitive with every team he played including Oklahoma, USC, Auburn and Texas.
This year Sam Keller, the ASU transfer is expected to start at qb for the Huskers. Expect big things this year. :D

Only time they won in recent years, was when the Criminal was running for em. Again, Michigan.

Nebraska WILL be in it again, but they aren't ANYTHING like Tom Osbourne's years. He was an analytical genius.

Geez I can't believe that college football games kick off in about 40 DAYS. Next week is SEC media days and then about a week later the boys around here all strap on the pads and start knocking heads! That includes the little ones on youth football fields and high school.

I love college football. I can HARDLY wait....Texas looks good and have some serious talent. Big 12 will be fun to watch this year.

Dan Connor. Every other choice is very womanly.
-
The worst Heisman EVER was the 2nd one they gave Archie Griffin. Ricky Bell may have been the best ever, and he was robbed.

Tom Osborne was one of a kind. He was the offensive genius behind Bob Devaney's two national titles.
The reason they aren't anything like in Osborne's years is because of Frank *Took a Spank* Solich. That guy got handed the keys to a national powerhouse and drove it into the ground with shoddy play calling and even worse recruiting.
Thankfully Solich got canned. I was very surprised when he didn't get the ax the year he went 7 - 7.
Callahan had a huge rebuilding job when he was hired. There was some decent food on the table, but the stuff in the cupboards stank to high heaven. On top of the personnel issues he faced he also changed the offense from the option to the West Coast Offense.
With his recruiting efforts, the depth chart is finally starting to look like something resembling a football team again. Callahan took over in 2004 and Nebraska had their first losing season since before I was born. Since then the Huskers have improved each year. I expect they will do even better than last year and while they may not be *there* yet, if they keep heading in the same direction they soon will be. :)

michigan garbage, tennessee garbage, auburn lsu garbage texas and ou garbage. the only good teams any more are osu, usc, florida, georgia, and boise state, notre dame might do something this year, also bama could be good.
-
megadud,
You school plays in a second tier conference and any time you play the SEC you get beat down. Lol. If I remember, OSU has never beat an SEC team in a bowl game.
Stay in your little sandbox and play with the kiddies. Just don't take up any heisman bandwith anymore.

Tennessee shut down the "great Eddie George" in 1996.
I'm not an idiot. The Big Ten is NO LONGER what it used to be.
