P.S.A.M - Please Shoot At Me

is a squad in the training arena dedicated to being target drones for those wanting to practice gunnery.

just a heads up to all the newer guys out there, if you look on the roster and see a PSAM member online feel free to shoot at them without warning, something you must not do to other people learning without permission.
so please shoot at us if you see us, and ask any questions you like.

for further info on psam please contact either Lengro or myself in the Training Arena.

This is awesome, should be MUCH better than the lead adjusted gun site I try to learn with (it's not working so great :(  ) Now if only you guys won't talk bad about me because of my pitiful gunnery :)

Thanks for starting something I bet will be very popular with us noobs.

sure thing man, give any memeber a shout online and you can ge an invite.

only rules are to be respectfull to all gamers, and try to help out new guys.

Nice idea Batfink, there's only so far that you can go using drones.  I'll give the other trainers a head's up so they know what's going on.  

Also, for those interested, trainer's would usually be happy to provide the same service if you ask and if they're not otherwise engaged.  Being the target is good for the soul and toughens the skin (and ego)...:aok

I love this idea BatfinkV!  I've been taking folks who ask to the DA, doing about the same thing.  I would really like to join your squad in the TA as well if it's not a problem...

I am "usually" respectful.  Although some smack talking is part of the game :)

If you come up with a training plan let me know.  Start with small turns moving to over the nose lead shots etc...   Heck, I might want to be a student :aok

no problem at all MTN, 4deck.
there are no training plans, just be a target drone and assist those that might swamp the official trainers on a busy night. most of all, have fun with other psam members shooting each other. this isnt a recruiting thread, just a heads up to the training comunity.

As a noob to this game, I would like to truely thank you guys for taking the time and effort to help new players like myself.  My previous game community just shunned new blood and I think that it had a lot to do with it's demise (I can blame myself for that as well, being one of the vets).  Although I always was nice and helpful (abbreviated help), I could have spent a lot more time helping new players get the hang of it.  This concept you came up with to train is also useful to you vets in a way as well and hopefully I can reciprocate with other noobs when I become better.

Anyways Kudos and I hope to see you guys in the TA!

I need to get a feeling for that big, mean, potato shooter in the nose of my 109K4. But, in last days, when I logged I found no one in TA or just a few trainees.

Could you please tell me when some of you is available to play the target, so that we can arrange a meeting?

I have been busy trying to get my K/D up (with no success).  

I am on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at about 7 EST.  I will check into the TA for a little while before going to the MA.

Ouch, Batty, sorry to hear. But Reeb is right, if you lower the settings, you should be able to fly with no problem. :)

Bat, thats the video card I currently have, Nvidia Geforce 6200 turbocache.
And the game runs great on my machine. I get about 59-30fps and haven't tuned all the in game settings down either. Just adjusted the card performance option to max performance.:huh

I understand if you can't play in the future, but I don't think the video card should be a reason for that.:aok

youre right guys i can play in DA or TA but i try to play in MA and frames go down to low tens. and this is with anti aliasing off and performance set to maximum speed. I'll be around to get shot at in TA for sure but i cant promise when. im going online today Gian if you still interested in shooting me :)


hazard, reeb, maybe i need to upgrade my drivers or something? i have a decent machine to back the 6200 up but i still cannot get anything like as good visuals as my ATI9800.

hrm thats weird that you get that low of a FR. My old computer was slow compaired to my alienware and it got 30-40 FR with 5700LE. Old puter was 2gig pent4, 1gig of pc3200 ram, Nvidia 5700LE 256meg agp, 533FSB. Its strange that you get such a low FR, maybe try new drivers and its not trying to use your ATI drivers is it? Very strange but i hope you get it worked out bat.

thanks reeb. i tried tuning the texture size down one level and now i can play with 2X anti aliaswhatsit and the frame rate is between 25-40. much better. thanks to all who have helped me, im a computer dummy, have no clue.
