just wanted to let every one (at least those who come here) know that i have formed a squad and changed my ingame name.
now i am known as "JETSOM"
my squad name is HARTMANNS FURY (who without google can explain why?)
if you are looking for a squad that is about having fun.
and NOT caring who wins the war.
that is what we are about.
we are furballers/dogfighters
NO bombers
NO gvs
NO base taking,
we will jump sides to find the best fights.
we will fly towards the largest red dar we can find,
ALWAYS ingage the nme no matter the #s. or situation.
in other words if we have fuel and ammo left we fight.
if this sounds like something you might enjoy, send me a PM or look me up ingame i am usualy on after 9pm eastern time. if i am not on, look for "FLOTSOM" he can invite also.
now i am going to list a few things that you will never see me doing(again)
i am not saying if you join our squad you cant do them, but I will NOT.
horde, vulch, milkrun, scorepotato, spawncamp, flee to ack, killsteal,
i am not saying that those things are "wrong" just not what i enjoy doing.
the only rules,
no one under 18
you must have fun.
fly with respect, honor, curtisy,
and enjoy the greatest game ever made.

yup
Erich Hartmann
352 killz
his plane of choice was the 109.towards the end of the war he was givin a new 190 but went back to the 109.
in his 1400 combat sorties, his claim to fame was he never lost a wingman.
-
I've been meaning to get a copy of The Blonde Knight of Germany forever now. The one thing I don't understand due to my lack of research is how you never lose a wingman, while going down yourself what was it 14 or 16 times? He never had a wingman KIA, or never had one that was shot down or had to ditch?

No you are not.
His last (and 352nd) aerial victory was achieved on May 8th 1945 between 08:30 and 09:20 over Brünn (Brno).
The unconditional surrender of all German forces came into effect at 23:01 hours Central European time.
There was no combat sortie of Hartmann after that.
-
this is were you guys are all wrong.
May 8 was the day that it did end.
he saw a russian doing AREOBATICS FOR HIS CELEBRATION in a yak and hartmann could not refuse so he shot him down and retained his 352 victory.
sory guys do some research all of you
if you want proof here it is staright from virtualpilots.com
In the late morning of May 8, 1945, Hptm.Hartmann led the Schwarm(flight) over Czechoslovakia to spot the advancing Russian troops. He saw a Soviet Yak fighter performing aerobatics over the town of Brunn, apparently in celebration of the pending Russian victory.Erich struck quickly and the hapless aerobat became his 352nd victory.

You might do some research yourself first before posting.
See my post above about date and TIME the war in Europe ended.
The vicory was achieved in the morning - The war ended at the end of that day: 23:01 hours.
-
please luche they say it ended that day not the exact time it ended that day and if you read at the time you said hartmann shot him downn wile the russain was doing aerobatics for the victory that they won so sorry try again

They say? LOL
Much you still have to learn about history and reasearching it, young Jedi!
"At 02:41 on the morning of, May 7, 1945, at the SHAEF headquarters in Rheims, France, the Chief-of-Staff of the German Armed Forces High Command, General Alfred Jodl, signed the unconditional surrender documents for all German forces to the Allies[9] It included the phrase "All forces under German control to cease active operations at 2301 hours Central European Time on May 8 1945." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/End_of_World_War_II_in_Europe#_note-5)
You can even read the transcriptions of the original surrender documents here:
http://www.law.ou.edu/ushistory/germsurr.shtml
:aok
The poor Russian pilot may just have heard about the upcoming unconditional surrender. While that was certainly a joyous moment for him, he should have waited with his aerobatics 'till it actually became effective.

Once again: read the whole message. There is a second link....
Any decent encyclopedia will help you, too.
BTW, I never said Wiki is useless. It should just be read with care, but such basic data is rarely flawed.

All hostilities on land, on sea, or in the air by German forces in the above areas to cease at 0800 hrs. British Double Summer Time on Saturday 5 May 1945.
4 May 1945
1830 hrs.
so there you go he killed the last 2 days later
also all i see is that everyone singned on may 7th at 2:41
they al may have been grounded on may 8th but they signed on may 7th
that is were the war ended
I also said that it can be useless

OMG!
Do you EVER really read something completely???
If you check again, you just cited the first document:
"Instrument of Surrender
of
All German armed forces in HOLLAND, in
northwest Germany including all islands,
and in DENMARK."
Repeat: HOLLAND & DENMARK. Thats one of several partial surrenders.
The document regarding to the complete military surrender on all fronts is the next one...
And just because it's signed it just does not mean that it's automatically enforced that very moment. Unless the document says so. The date and time of commencement is stated.
-
dont tell me that I read all it says here that:
JODL
Representing the German High Command.
DATED 0241 7th May 1945
Rheims, France
so please stop they sent the document to berlin on May,8 it was done by then

That's just the date it was signed. Nothing more. the actual conditions are in the document. Including specific date & time.
"The German High Command will at once issue orders to all German military, naval and air authorties and to all forces under German control to cease active operations at =2301= hours Central European time on = 8 May = and to remain in the positions occupied at that time. "

congratulations JETSOM, good luck with your new squad.
-
here this will end it all:
independece day is not july 4 it is july 3 because the commitee of style went to work on july first. for those who do not know what the commitee of style is it is the people ho wrote the decloration of indepedence. Anyways, they completed the document in two days they only call july 4 independece day because it was the final copy everyone signed the day before.
this is just the case because I have justified the fact that everybody signed the treaty on may 7, they sent it to berlin and that was the final copy.
that is why they call erich hartmanns last kill not the last kill.
-
Sorry fella, your incorrect. It takes time for orders to be disseminated for cessation of hostilities, hence nominating a date and time in the surrender documents. That is the date and time of the end of wwII.

Yep, like you can question official documents stating exact date & time of WWII end in Europe...
I'm just not sure yet if you are only stubbornly trolling or if you REALLY believe what you are saying.
Or like a famous General once ago said:
-
well here we go this is stright from erich hartmann himself:
The Final Interview with Erich Hartmann
Q: How did you end up in Soviet custody?
A: On 8 May 1945 I took off at around 0800 hours from my field in Czechoslo-
vakia going to Bruenn. My wingman and I saw eight Yaks below us. I shot one
down and that was my last victory. I decided not to attack the others once I
saw that there were twelve Mustangs on the scene above me. My wingman
and I headed for the deck where the smoke of the bombing could hide us. We
pulled through the smoke and saw once again the two allies fighting each
other above us. Incredible! Well we landed at the field and were told that the
war was over.I must say that during the war I never disobeyed an order, but
when General Seidemann ordered me and Graf to fly to the British sector and
surrender to avoid the Russians, with the rest of the wing to surrender to the
Soviets. I could not leave my men. That would have been bad leadership.
There was a large bounty on my head, much like Ruedel.
now if you read carefully then you can tell what I mean by this may have been a bogus kill he said as soon as he landed the guy told him that the war was over that is why I think that his kill is not real

The key word here is pending, meaning the war was not yet over. The information you posted even confirms the war had not ended yet.
Also I'm sure the Russian pilot if he could speak from the grave would tell you the kill was very real.
-
but you know that it is already over even if it is pending as the germans could not fight anymore so it wasn't pending
-
Ok. Last try. Fact vs Fiction. Excerpt from the Surrender Document (link provided in earlier post):
The German High Command will at once issue orders to all German military, naval and air authorties and to all forces under German control to cease active operations at =2301= hours Central European time on = 8 May = and to remain in the positions occupied at that time.
Until that hour, they could. And did.

Evidently Eric Hartmann could still fight.

Wow. It would have been better to remain silent, then type these posts and remove all doubt.
