My new Logiteck headset is not heard by others-no mic. I go to update driver and it says all drivers are in SP2. I have SP1. For good reasons until now.
Must be some common driver but marketing says it's special.
Is there a download for just my mic without the whole SP2 package and all it's encumberments?

Know its stating the obvious, but have you checked that its selected in volume control? And not muted etc?

Yes thank you I've checked, didn't work. The thing is when I plugged it in Winslows tries to install it and fails then ask me if I'd like to install it with my own program or CD.
I've gone to the Logitec website and they say all their drivers are bundled into Service Pack 2 , which I don't have.
mmmmmmmmmm
looks like I might have to bite the bullet unless I can identify which component of SP2 I need for my mic and leave all the rest.
I just have heard too many bad things associated with SP2 and would rather not deal with that if I can avoid it.
Thanks for the reply Wurzel.
Anybody have problems after downloading SP2?
Thanks,

Installs it? Is this usb or something, as never heard of a plain mic requiring drivers etc and wondering why Logitech didnt supply with relevant drivers etc (saying they are in sp2, imo, isnt good enough. In answer to your other question, I've got sp2 on my pc, not had an issue with it.........(now watch, it'll crash n burn when I get home lol).
What model of mic is it fella, i'm bored at work and will do some digging around......

Did some more tweaking and it is functioning in test mode now at least on the PC. I won't be able to test it in game mode til later. Hope it works!
But it still sucks that no drivers are available from Logitech support.
It's a A-0374A model #.
Thanks Wurzel

Oki doki, after much searching, I admit defeat...lol....well, almost. What I've done in the past as I couldnt find a driver, ir d/l and install version tracker
Version Tracker (http://www.versiontracker.com)
run the scan using that, the uncheck all but the driver you need.....takes a bit of time and is a pain in the neck, but works.....be aware you only get 1 or 2 drivers max....so be real careful when unchecking all the boxes to get only the one you want m8.....
Hope this helps,

Thank you Wurzel, excellent resource! I got to try it out and success. I guess I don't need SP2 after all. Goody. I think the reason was simply the "playback recording" was not set to my headset. DOH!
I knew it was something simple, it always is after the fact....
Thanks my friend,
