In speaking with my fathers buddys, they remember flying missions in rain and snow.... currently all the areanas have night and day cant we add some wheather? In addition we should have the ability to rescue a downed pilot with an LTV of jeep that we dont load with troop in the hanger.

PC performance, especially low-end, would suffer drastically.

I agree - the thought is cool, but like THN said, PC, etc, etc, wouldn't be able to handle it

Well couldn't it be possible to make it so people could enable or disable weather effects if their frame rate is suffering. After all, there already exists an option to disable skins or vehicle effects and there are two slider bars to adjust the amount of object detail as well as viewing distance. I personally think varying weather conditions would be pretty cool.

No that wont work cause people would exploit it. If theres thick cloud and rain which makes it hard to see your enemy, you could just switch off weather effects and see them instantly. WHile the other person is putting up with the reduced visibility. Either its there for all equally, or not at all.

Good point, guess I didn't think of that; but then again, maybe it could be configured so that when there is poor visibility, someone can disable the effects without improving their own visibility. For example, the enabled weather effects only permit visibility 1,000 yards out, but someone who has disabled the weather effects would be able to see a clear blue sky but not another aircraft until they are 1,000 yards away. Until the aircraft is 1,000 yards away it would simply be invisible so no one has an unfair advantage.
It’s just a thought.
