Title: X52 Saitek Calibration issues
Post by: TCFkas on July 05, 2007, 11:39:57 AM
Me and a fellow squadie are having calibration issues with the X52 stick.  I've had mine since Christmas of 2006 and didn't have any issues until this most recent AH2 version.  Squadie has a new one.
I have to recalibrate in the game a couple of times each time I'm logged on.  I get minor drifts.  If I go out into Windows  (XP SP2) I found that the stick is still "in" calibration.  As such, it seems to be a game issue.

Anyone else with an X52 having the same problem?  Is there a fix?  I'm getting tired of having to recalibrate in the middle of a fight.

I lose calibration intermittantly (once every two weeks). I'm on every day, so I consider this a minor setback.....

Try unpluging the S connector that runs between the stick and the throttle and then repluging it (While you are flying is okay. I've even done it in combat.) This seems to reset everything to nominal again. I don't have a clue as to the cause. (It's still the greatest control system imo.)

Good luck.

Fester reported good results using a power USB hub.

It does make a difference .

I was going to suggest the same, or remove some of your USB devices.
