you have the wrong drivers for your video card. Post the first third of a DXdiag here, and let the gurus tell you which drivers are best for your card.

I am going to guess you have an ATI/AMD 9000 series video card. If that is the case, you need the Catalyst 4.12 drivers to solve the problem you are having.

dang these guys are fast to the punch:D

I had this exact same problem and I read this post today, I went HERE (http://download.softpedia.ro/dl/f5464571d27f880c23003c1820b5d61c/4697056d/300009203/drivers/VIDEO/wxp-w2k-catalyst-8-082-041130a-019577c.exe) and got the driver and now I have color on my radar

sidey, the Catalyst 4.12 drivers will fix the problem. If you still have it, then either you failed to remove the previous drivers, before installing the Catalyst 4.12's or you really did not get the Catalyst 4.12's installed.
If you install any driver after Catalyst 4.12, you will have the problem. Catalyst 4.12 drivers do not require .NET. If you have to install/update .NET, then you installed a later driver.
