could title this clip three ways at least.
"How to destroy a spit16 and a ki84 that start on your tail"
or
"How definitely not to attack a lone 109K4 in a spit16 and ki84"
or
"How the hell did he take two 30mm hits and not fall apart?"
either way, think this 2 min film will give all the spit haters a little buzz :D (man I love spitfires)
Oh and while we are at it, NKL5.. that was clearly NOT a head on shot. ask anyone here. i dont see why you felt it was unfair at all. Look on the bright side....as the clip obviously shows, you took a 30mm hit on the engine cowling then yet another 30mm hit direct on the right tail plane and only suffered an oil leak for your troubles.
wouldnt let a small whine ruin a good fight though.

The hit on the horizontal stabilizer looked like a MG hit, Bat, not a 30mm.
At any rate, that 30mm probably should have ripped up that kite a little bit more than it did.

I didn't see any direct HO attacks, just some up close and personal shots is all that I could tell from the film (which was good film btw). I would think the 30MM would have torn off the tail like nothing at all....
Game does have its drawbacks apparently

you might be right Xathur, although i think it was two tater hits, slow the film down to exactly 0.25 speed and its shows more frames than other speeds, it seems.
just like to say though, im not suggesting foul play at all, just sayin it wasnt a ho and from my end the enemy ditches on two taters :) pretty cool.
thanks for kind comments all, one of these days people will find thier throttle while flying in the MA, maybe even move it up and down at times, this kind of fun would be a much harder achieved by all accounts.

Uh... no, I don't think it is a commonly misused phrase.
To flagellate is to whip or punish oneself painfully to atone for perceived sins. Basically cause yourself pain to make up for your own mistakes (think Dobby the house elf in Harry Potter).
There are any number of other words I think you intended to use, including one that starts with F but is very crude (no it's not 4 letters) and would probably get your post Skuzzified (for scatalogical reasons).

Well I assumed it impacted you based on the half hour of whining you subjected me to. It alarms me that you are thinking about my "chubby" though. Maybe you want to impact me, medically speaking.

Bat when I have a body shot with the taters I always hold the trigger down alittle longer because a tater to the engine will only take the engine out around 15% of the time. I saw two tater hits on the Ki84 one on the wingroot (which should have takin his wing off) and one in the engine block which took out his oil. Iv never seen a single engine fighter take a 30mm hit to the wing and fly on by like that. but he should have been dead on the first shot.

You a newbie batfink no need to use up the mg ammo if you kill him with the 30mm anyways.
Save the mg ammo for more kills after 30mm is used up.

I don't recall our conversation lasting a half hour but I will have to take your word for it. It's interesting how you imply that poor grammar is a direct reflection of sexual preference, but surely its just a generalization and not a personal attack. I would hate to think that a father of 4 would be so shallow and bigoted.

Bats got one of the best Barrel roll reversals in the game. Your probably safer 400 in front of him then 400 behind. It's darn near impossible to either hit him or avoid the overshoot if you get drawn into the pursuit shown. I'm always amazed how quickly and accurately he gets the nose back in plane to the target...

Only thing I was dissapointed in was you let NKL5 get the ditch, when clearly he needed to be put away.. but thats JMHO..
I think posting a film like that...is only necessary if you get called to the carpet... such as in "You HO'd me"

i let him ditch, and then regretted it, the score card on his mind maybe. he waited till i was out of icon range so i wouldnt get the kill.
so i flew back and ditched beside him, bailed out and tried to capture him with my pistol but he saw me coming and hit the tower :)
so in the end he got the kill on me. and he did whine about the shot, just i didnt bother including it in the film..

As for insults, you implied one here and spewed several in your whine on 200 so you really shouldn't try to take the high road here, the offramp for those lanes is far behind you.

you two obviously have private disagreements. i was refering to the fact that in a funny story where the winner bails out to shoot the ditcher with his pistol you choose to pick me up on the one thing you saw wrong in my post.
dont really wish t persue the matter any further though, and no hard feelings on my end, your original statement was an accurate one, this thread was a light hearted stroke and a bit of a brag with a film to back it up.

thats a nice film, iam just curious what view system you use??
If i play the film with "user recorded views" its seems to be snapviews, but then i have to wonder why your front/up(45° left/right) are adjusted to bad?? The Canophy frames almost cover the whole screen. Therefor i guess you dont use snapviews, maybe padlock??
Just my curiousness. :)

hey knegel, you need to re-set your views when you watch the film. the film you watch will not have my saved views, all the views i have saved are very good for visibilty its just the film viewer does not recognise them on someone elses machine.

if you are interested i have a very similar clip of 1 f6f v 2 A6ms, amazing how the same style of snapshot with 50cals is just as devastating with the right luck/shooting.
in the DA with friends though, we sualy play .303s only and first to auger loses :)

Actually I think the ACM made the shots...all of them are what I call "drive bys"...Bat was there waiting and the other guy literally flies into the shot. To me that is the highest level of ACM. Basically he's got the "pivot the nose" mojo working faster then the poor noobs can yank there T&Bers around.

But thats realy strange, cause the fílm viewer dont use my preferred views, neighter it use the default views.

Never downloaded films from here before, how do I do it. When ever i d/l it and try to open it it says windows cannot find the file or something like that. Do i have to open it in the game or what?

hey Donkey. if you go to the first post here and Right-Click on the link provided and then choose 'save target as'
now it will open a window asking you where to save the file on your computer. best place to find easy would be saved to your desktop.
once the .ahf file is saved to your computer just find it and double Left-Click on it and assuming you have a current version of AcesHigh installed the file will automaticaly open in the AH2 film viewer.
knegel, yeah, but once you edit and save the views for a 109K4 in your film viewer they will be rembered next time you watch a 109k4 film.
