If you failed the aptitude test to become a WallMart employee don't fret... KBR has a job waiting for you in Iraq paying 3 times as much.
I just had 2 Iraqis and 1 civilian come fix my a/c unit and if I coulda understood what they were saying I'm sure it would have gone like this: "Hi, my name in Larry... this is my other brother Larry and that's Larry too".

Hey, it's Truekill!

At least they came to fix your A/C.... you ever see what happens to one of those units when they go up in flames? Sparks, flashes, and flame. Gotta love 220.
How's temps this time of year? We usually had 120's F in Victory and Taji.... 135 F in the shade on the Samara bypass and Buckmaster Range west of Tikrit. Some nights would get below 100 F.... sometimes all the way down to 90 degrees F by morning.
Loss of electricity (still have brown outs at the Victory/Liberty/Striker/Slayer/BIAP cluster?) or A/C always sux in summertime over there.
And actually, I have been applying to many of the other (non-KBR) contractors over there for a little while now. Guess I am dumb.

I've looked at their health plan. I'll pass.

Glad your AC is fixed.
I'm the secretary for a contracting company over there. We're really pleased w/our own employees, and have heard horror stories about some of the others. *grin*

Temp wise were pushin 120 now and at night it might touch 95. Haven't seen an a/c meltdown... yet, but with the heat i'm sure it won't be much longer. Its funny to watch the news back in the states talkin about the 'heat wave' LOL, oh man... they wouldn't stand a chance over here. But just like anywhere, there are some really good people here and those that make you scratch your head and say WTF?
