That promo video is my new favorite porn.
Break out the lotion!!
-
What.. no
"Dogfights - Scharnhorst vs Duke of York" this season??
-
Since they did one that was ship vs ship, I'm waiting to see Michael Wittman vs the British Army... :D
-
Well, I've only seen the new commercial once. But, it seemed to me that the graphics quality was greatly reduced. Could it be they have started cutting some corners?
-
Dogfights is a great show, I can't wait till the new season starts.
-
Reduced? Look at the promo video on the site, its 10x better. Much more fluid formations and better closeups, more realistic looking terrains, etc.
The hills and mountains of Vietnam look insane.
-
My 5 year old sun is looking forward to Friday as much as I am!

Jug-Heads attention
The New Seasons Premier of Dogfights is "Thunderbolt" and it is awesome! For those of you that have Comcast Cable on Demand you can see it playing now.
It is excellent! I've watched it twice already!
Does anyone know what graphics engine the program uses? The Airframes look like Ubisoft and IL2 but the sky and the terrains are totally awesome and unlike nothing I've ever seen in a simulation game.
-
Maybe some observant few will note that in the first video, the head on approach is stated as legitimate doctrine.
-
In real life.
AH isnt real life. :p

Saw the same episode, OnDemand... was awesome...
I think they are going to show it later in the season though, the first one is Kamikaze.
The Jugheads will be going crazy after that one.

Well......it wasn't quite what I expected.... They reduced the first two hours to 1 hour and 40 minutes of computer graphics, 16 minutes of commercials, and 4 minutes of actual footage. Worse than that, they keep repeating the computer cartoon footage, ad nauseum.....
All that said, I still love the stupid program. :)
I trust Hitech will modify the collision model now so we can ram aircraft and ships with the same effectiveness as real life! :)
-
The kamikaze episode was pretty good but in the episode description it said it would describe US and Soviet ramming tactics also, i didn't see any Soviet stuff and only saw US planes being rammed or shooting down the rammers.
I wonder when people will start screaming for Bakka Bombs.
-
They pop up every few months in the wishlist, and it usually degrades into an "Its Ohka, not Bakka" argument.
