Title: Denholm's TE Tutorial
Post by: mrmidi on July 10, 2007, 05:17:00 PM
to Denholm for an awsome tutorial.

I took his text tutorial with his approval and added some
images and did some bold highlighting and made it a .pdf file.
I also added bookmarks to each chapter. His Tutorial gives a great starting
point for any one intrested in building terrains.

Skuzzy could we please get a sticky on this topic? Thanks

In the future I plan to do the same with his object editor as well as the cloud editor.

Here is the Tutorial, you will need adobe reader to view it.

Yes, I did approve this.:D

One think mrmidi, I do not have a CE (Cloud Editor) tutorial. Perhaps the strongest reason for that is not knowing how it works properly.

The TE is a fantastic tool....  Now if you could only edit/modify existing AHII maps with it, like say PTO_1, I would be ecstatic.

Great tutorial also, for somebody with talent, patience, and time to make a decent map of New Guinea/Northern Australia area.

Sad you cannot import existing maps, or even USGS topo maps and work from those.

Awww but you can young Jedi  :D

With a few other utilities, you can use a USGS DEM (Digital Elevation Map) and create a terrain for any part of the world.

I don't think he is teasing, I think they are using a USGS topo map in This Thread (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,263783.0.html)

Yes he is....  He didn't provide the link so I can 'see' what I should be looking for.
