Title: 1 Engined 38 No Wep?
Post by: Hoarach on July 12, 2007, 09:02:46 PM
Just thinking when a 38 is down an engine why cant the #1 engine be wepped.  When the 38 is down an engine and its the #2 engine, the engine can be wepped.  Is this something that HT will fix or just something have to continue to be puzzled by?

If your engine is shot out you can still use wep. Not so if you shut it down.

You've never flown the P-38 have you?

Hoarach is correct, if you lose engine #1, you can't use WEP on engine #2 but if you lose #2 then you can use WEP on #1.  This is something that has been affecting the P-38 since I've started AH back in v1.07.

Its the other way around Ack-Ack.  When engine #2 is shot out you cant wep #1.  If engine #1 is shot out you can wep #2.

It's a problem with the engine selection code on twins (no quads have WEP but it probably would be there as well if they did). Same for every twin plane in this game, including the B-26.

It's been there since the code was put in place.
