The subject pretty much says it all. Im not old to this game, just a returning player. I choose Online, then choose my server then gets to the hanger selection screen but doessnt load completely and stops loading. i already unblocked aces high from my virus protection, and my internet is working fine too.

Small question: Where you in offline mode before that? Because almost every time I play offline, I do experience such a freeze if I go online after that. Other players did experience same.
If yes, just restart game after instead of going from offline directly to online.

as a "returning player", how long ago were you playing before? Reason I ask is they did a graphics update awhile back with new textures for the ground and such. If your computer was pushing the envelope before it may be over the edge now. You could either delete your video.cfg file in the game to get it to start fresh, or on loading of the game, make "video setting" your first start. Try dropping the texture size down, and make sure you don't have "pre-load skins" checked. There are too many skins now to pre-load even in a 2 gig ram set up.
