I believe it would be much better for both newcomers and EW players.

Don't think it makes a difference at all.

By your thinking, the most populated arena should be Early War, but it's worse than even the AvA at most times. Even the MWA gets more folks than the EWA.

Folks look at titles when they have a choice. They might not bother looking further, or doing research, but you can bet when it says "training arena" and they don't go in there, their first thought is "Nah, I don't need training, I'll learn as I go".


Putting the TA first on the list won't change that.

When I visited EW arena a lil while back there where LOTS of newbs. Couldn't take off or anything. So this goes against your idea Krusty, those players most likely logged into the first arena on the list. Moving the TA to the top of the list isnt a bad idea at all even it 2 more people a day log into the TA its still more.  Besides moving it up on the list cant take HTC but 2 min to do.

Could always just make the TA the only arena available to guys on their 2-week trial. ;)

While it might make them better (if they stick with it) chances are the % that stick with it is very small. It's getting into the MA that hooks most people.

Imagine you HAD to fly in the TA (and only the TA) for 2 weeks straight, not able to get kills or do any damage, or anything "fun".....


You probably wouldn't want to pay $15/mo for it, eh?
