I was just wondering. I used to play when I was in Ireland. Played through school and into Senior level in Northern Ireland. I played for "City of Derry". Been to many internationals in Dublin and a few tours in Scotland, and South of Ireland.
As the game has turned professional more players are wearing padding. It is soft as opposed to the armour the Football players use, but it is leading to harder hits in the game. That being said some guys that play do not need padding they need brains. I have seen guys put their heads where I would not put my foot.
Retired now due to a back injury while playing.

I was one of the 25% cause I had a beer in my hand :) and in Ireland you never leave one unattended or risk spilling it.
It is a brutal sport. Sort of like Hockey, Lacrosse and bar fighting mixed toghether.

The thing at the top is a flawless representation of lag. I don't recall the details, but I believe the main point is "don't whine about lag ever again or I will turn AH into a figure 8 simulator"
