Recently my harddrive has been making a very light but noticible buzz noise.
The noise seems to come at random
other then backing up everything is there any tips to help keep this drive running as long as possible, if the buzz is a sign of a soon to come failure.
 :cry
EDIT: Nevermind, imma just run the drive untill it fails or something, sorry for disturbing you all

HD's generally make a clicking sound when they are on their last leg. Best thing to do is just backup all important data. Getting read/write errors can also be an indication of hard drive failure.
There are a few tricks (freezing your hard drive in the freezer) but none of those are 100% Best just to back up your data and move on.

There's no such thing. You usually say it when a girl asks you a question about a 'funny noise' that is coming from their car. And you say, must be the Knuter valve going. Better get that check out. And make sure they top off your horn fluid.
