....and from now on, I will try to be a kinder, gentler NB. I will do my best not to rag folks for doing dweebish things.
In the last 2 nights, I have pist off 2 people for saying that what they did was dweebish. Obviously, this younger generation can't handle that facet of the game. Hence, from now on, I will strive to be a more PC NB. :)
(of course, since I have a problem saying it's a rose when it looks, smells and feels like a terd.....I will prolly have to start a shades account. :D)

Well, I'm not really worried about being "hunted down". Heck, that could actually be fun, at least when compared to what's been goin' on lately.

Actually, that's why I think 2-weekers should be limited to the Training Arena: So they actually learn there's more to success in a fight than Ho, drag to ack (base, CV, or GVs) when their opponent is within a quarter turn of having angles, and reverse the moment their opponent breaks off hoping to get a quick shot in the back.

There isn't enuf trainers for that .
More offers to help from the vets would be better than
channel 200 comments .

Well, according to the guys I've pistoff....you're half right. :D
I will assist anyone that asks. If it is obvious that the guy doesn't have a clue, I will offer to assist. One of these guys is a squad CO (fairly new squad), I have worked with members of his squad in the TA and DA. While is squadmates are improving and showing some class.....he continues to play the same as always.
The other has been around for a couple of years. He is one of those timid alt monkeys. I chased his 109G2 around in my slightly lower 205. He gets over his field at around 12k and reverses and dives for the field. I lead turn him and tag him as he is going down. A minute or 2 later I get a kill message. He said he compressed because his trim wasn't calibrated. I looked at the film and saw him try to do a 450 mph split S to land....dirt nap city. When I ragged him (one statement with a smiley :)), the tuned my vox and proceeded to call me some rather choice names, telling me that I was the biggest s*** talker in the game. I tuned him and think that really pist him off....mainly because I was having a tuff time holding the laughter in. :D
Well, I guess I really shouldn't complain, since someone seems to think I'm the best at something in the game. :D

But, when you make 2 people cry in 2 consecutive nights.....you kinda begin to wonder. I used to have Fidel to be Mr. Nice Guy and NB could do the wank-work. Meybe I just need dem shades.

I know a few "new folks" like this. I was in the DA last week and a few of us were "overtaken" by a squeaker that missed his Ritalin dose. We changed vox channels to finally be able to talk again.

NB, you can lead a horse to water but ya can't make em drink! Just pull out a cigar and stick it in their eye if they don't wanna listen.

No you won't - you just won't say anything and vulch them for 20 minutes until they leave the arena.... you are not fooling me with this nice guy act

Well, i can personnaly vouch that NB can be a pain sometimes, specially when he flys over me with a damn P40 and plays with me until he decides to kill me. I've been mad for sure :D But, I did ask him to help me instead of shooting me down all the time and he did. I learned a few tricks from him for sure. I hope some of the better sticks out there would do that more often instead of just complaining that your a dweed and stuff when the only move u had left in your bag was to run for a friend. For you players that have been playing for a while. When u begin to play there is only 3 moves u know, Immelman, spilt S and flat turn. After u do those 3 and the guy is still on your six u tell yourself, hell maybe the ack can save me:D When u have been doing something for a while, it looks inconceivable that people would do stuff like running away. In time, we learn more maneuvers and then we turn around and try more moves to DEFEND ourselves. A bit after that we start to ATTACK you guys. Then it's a new ball game. TKS NB, now i can expect to survive sometimes when I encounter u :aok I even came close to shoot u down on a few occasions :rolleyes:

It is funny that some people are worried about pissing someone off. I pay my money each month. If I feel someone is being an idiot I will tell them. They pay their money or at least Mommy and Daddy does. If they dont like the way I talk to them then they can squelch me. I am tagging with a great bunch of guys right now and they dont have a problem with my comments because they are not dweebs and are at least mature. Yeah this is just a game with immature people joining so we all just need to get through until school starts. Cant wait.
Those that get pissed at me can join me at LW. Usually in a P47N at about 10k

Generally, I try not to say anything when I see something dweebish so as not to start anything. As a rule, I'm not interesting in baiting or griefing anyone for my own enjoyment. Though, on occasion I'll see something really out of the ordinary and just have to make a probing comment about it. I try to make sure it's not insulting or really confrontational, as I'm usually just trying to find out what was that guy thinking. However, it's hard to do that and not salamander someone's ego, but I try.
Depending upon the response I get will determine how and if the conversation proceeds. The greater majority of the time, I get a sometimes angry, but usually only aggravated reply that has some explanation or reasoning about it. From there I usually make friends and have a good converstation.
Now, when I see something really, really dumb, and after I kill the dude, I check the roster and if he's got a score in the serious 4 digit range, I figure he's new. I will usually PM him and ask if he knows what it was he did wrong in our engagement. If I get any kind of reasonable response, I will offer to tell him and even to go to the TA and show him. Unfortunately, more times than not, the newb is either too embarassed to even answer or still doesn't know how to PM or respond on 200. LOL
