Title: Norway's special forces 1th casualty

The casualty is the first among Norway's special forces in Afghanistan and the second among all soldiers taking part in ISAF operations. Another Norwegian soldier was killed while on patrol outside Kabul in 2004.

Well for a small country with few citizens it prolly sounds stupid for others, but it is a big one for us.

Our special forces have been there since the beginning but nothing much is written about what they done.


I hope the goverment take care of the ones in his family.

It was not long ago we lost also one in afghanistan..

RIP and condolences to his wife and kids.

He knew the dangers and was not forced to go but its still sad for the SOF community and his family.

Some folks do not get it, that these brave folks go into harm's way so that some people can have (for the first time, in some cases) freedom.

My thoughts and prayers to not only the soldier from Norway, but all of those who serve so that others can have freedom.

My thoughts and prayers go to the families of those men. A tragic loss. Each created a large hole in the group of family and friends they belonged to.

When we hear casualty counts it's easy to forget that each of the numbers represent a person, a world, a universe known to them. It makes a big hole in the entire universe.

May they rest in peace with the knowledge that many of us appreciate and thank them for taking a place on the front lines to give the rest of us peace and security.
