Post by: rogerdee on July 25, 2007, 10:30:16 AM: all the spots for the D11 sinks are full at the moment but if i make the grn one good enough ill submit it anyway maybe they will drop one of my other skins and put it in its place.

i need to find the nose art for the green one tho the only picture i got is small and doesn't show anything apart from a smudges circle.

Paul Douglas left Europe one of the most
decorated Aces. He twice received the
Distinguished Service Cross and was
recommended for the Medal of Honor. He flew
136 combat missions with a total of 337 combat
hours in the P-47. He served as Commanding
Officer of the 395th FS, 396th FS, & 36th FG.

Douglas remained in the Air Force as a pilot,
commanded the 388th FW and flew combat
missions over North Vietnam in the F-105
Thunderchief. Paul Douglas retired a Brigadier
General on 1 Feb 1970 after almost 30 years of
active duty service.

I found it on the 396th Thunder Bums website & thought it was neat how this guy became an ace among the many other things he did. Just thought I’d post her (the plane) up.

One of these days I’ll be getting into the making of skins. I’m also thinking of making a 3-D model of a Hellcat in AutoCAD :D

Post by: Krusty on July 26, 2007, 08:52:33 AM: The "Arizona" is too large. It shouldn't be cutting off at the front of the cowling. There should be a decent buffer between the cowling ring and the noseart, from the painting posted above. Scale it down a bit, then move it so the rear border is still at the same area (where the lightning bolt comes out of the yellow cowling)
