"SKEETER SEASON"
May, 1944, North Sea. Many coastal command and Fleet Air Arm squadrons were tasked with intercepting shipments of ore from Norway to Germany, largely to interrupt the supply of essential metals for armaments. Tungsten was one such critical metal and was important to the development of high-temperature resistant turbine blades for Jumo jet engines. Due to continuing shortages of tungsten the Germans had to make do with nickel alloys that would not hold up to the heat of a Jumo jet engine. The engines of the Me-262 were not reliable in large part to the actions of the RAF and RCAF Mosquito squadrons over the North Sea.This Snap Shot features flights of Mosquito attack aircraft of 404 'Buffalo' Squadron RCAF armed with machine guns, cannons, 500 lb bombs and 'rocket projectiles' escorted by Corsair IIs of 1834 Squadron Fleet Air Arm. German Bf-109-G6 interceptors of IV./JG 5 'Eismeer' are scrambled to intercept.

Sounds fun.
I have never done one of these missions before.
Is it in special events areana?
Can someone direct me to a help page on this or just tell me what I need to do to get in.
Thanks

Agent360.
Snapshots take place in the Special Events arena. Walkons are welcome you don't need to register before hand. This snapshot is taking place at 10PM estrn time tonight. If you can try and show up 15 20 minutes early it makes it easier on the side COs (Volunteers who step up to lead one side or the other) and the Hosting CM which in this case is 68Falcon.

You will go into the Arena and Pick Allied or Axis. Before you chose I suggest you read the Arena message which describes what rides each side has and the objectives etc. Once you have selected a side, just ask the guys there what vox channel your using (Usually the CO for you side will select one. About 5 min before launch the CO will go over everything with you to double check you have the right plane fuel ammo load out and take off base. He/She will also give a brief overview of the objective of the frame. Then from there you just do your thing and have fun!
hope that helped some.

Thanks.
I read the set up stuff.
Of course I will be in a 109...hehe
This one sounds fun. Its going to be tuff going up against the F4u1. The F4u's are really a hard kill.

Well I was going to join it, but f'in US Airways have decided my time would be much better spent sitting in MCCarran Airport.
Third time in a row they bar stewards have canceled a flight out of here on me.

Nice time tonight.
Agent360, good to see you made it. How'd you like it? These things are fun, we really need to get more people in them though, but even a smaller group can have a good time.
