I can't believe how many of us drive Mustangs, of all vintages and styles.
Any of you other Pony owners interested in starting up an informal AH Mustangers Club?
Especially those of us who mod and tweak our rides, we could easily share sources and trade parts. I know I am saving everything I take off mine, never know who might need it.

The front of the new mustangs look great, at least from what I've seen in my rear view mirror. :D
-
Except the Steedas. I REALLY don't like the body kit they slapped on that thing.
Rousch does them much better.

TxDad had a 71 (I think it was, or maybe 72?) mach1 when we were first married. Was very nice. he liked it very much. been considering getting him another one. If I do, I'll dig this thread back up.

A gorgeous car! I love that body style.

My favorite is the '69 Mach I, but the 71s are nice too.
You'll pay a pretty penny for one in good shape.

ohhhhhh so what.....those of us that dont drive stupid ugly fords arent cool enuff to b in ur " my lil pony " club??? hehe
i see how it is! ALL HAIL THE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX!!! hehe
jk...actually my brother had a 64 1/2 mustang, was nice car. my mom used to drive it around listening to the beach boys and singin her fool head off at the top of her lungs with her lil sunglass flipper thingy over her regular classes and a cute lil red ribbin in her hair to hold it out her face.....
when my great grandpa (which i didnt know so well...WWII vet ) passed away he left her his 69 malibu, fire engine red ...georgous car, my dad wouldnt let my mom drive it or it would start a fight, so one day my mom and i took it for a ride down to the store and when we got back my dad was pizzzzzzzzzzzzzed....it almost caused a divorce. so my mom bein the woman she is said " to hell with him " and waited for my dad to go to work, sold the car to the mail man for 1400.00 and well.....imagine the fight when my dad got home and seen it was gone..but it was my mom's car.
2 weeks later my dad was talkin to the mail man and he had said he went out had a few drinks and was drivin home and wrapped it around a tree 2 days after he bought the car from my mom. my dad cried.

Do you get to join if you used to have a Ford Fiesta. That's more or less equivalent to GT - give or take about 4 liters or so :D

Well, if you read his original post he did say AH Mustang Club. Now I certainly wouldn't see anything wrong with a AH Poney Car Club and that would include several cars from GM. FORD and Chrysler. Actually it would include some AMC cars as well :D
Word.

68 was the year they introduced the 302 to my recollection. I thought 67 was the last year of the 289's in the Mustang.

Ya Treize, sounds fun.
I was driving down Watt Ave today, nice little 45mph road which usually hits 65 coming to the freeway :(
Nice little hot rodded 69 El Camino comes flying up behind me, pops the clutch a couple times, whips around my side and paces me. His bud in the passenger seat looks over, smiles and bobs his head while the driver romps on it a couple times, then floors it, pulls in front of me and runs down the onramp to the freeway.
He floors it, somewhat ratted engine blowing smoke out, so you know this guys jumps on it all the time.
So I figure, what the heck, I stomp.
Flew by him.
He catches up to me a few miles down the road since I backed off down to the speed limit area.
I just look at the driver and nod. He does this one handed wave and bow.
Ya, I do like this new stang :) His suspension had him bouncing all over, my pony wasn't breathing hard.
I'm thinking vanity plates RUNSTANG just sounds kinda fun, yannow? :)
