A predator that can sense death ... ooh, scary! What's next? "Creepy" vultures that for some supernatural reason start circling above dying animals? ;)

That could be mistaken for sarcasm.

Wow....I'd kill that cat if I lived there. Then I'd be INVINCIBLE!

The article in todays local paper about it went much more in depth.
It's an interesting story that brings to mind old Egyptian religion about cats.

.22 rifle with .22 shorts or .22 CB, right between the eyes from 5 - 40 ft.

I leave cats be, they do a fine job killing mice, rats , and other little critters that needing killing.

True indeed, and I often wondered how they know so fast. Had my scruffles with ravens and seagulls that pray on the sick or dying, and start their delicatessen paries BEFORE the victim is dead. Ended up using so much ammunition that I got a note from the tax about it (Used it for deduction, hehe). But the results were....impressive :D

Oops, forgot the [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] tags in my previous post. That predators and scavengers can sense the oncoming of death should not be scary, creepy or surprising to anyone who's benefited from an education. Hell, even the uneducated people in the African bush knows this.

Imagine if you were laying in bed and that cat just came up and started to lay next to you.:O

Would scare me to ... death! ;)

It isn't just animals, some people can sense when someone close to them has died or is dying. I "successfully" predicted the last three deaths in my family. The family has since distanced itself from me somewhat. When my great-grandmother died, my dad knew it when he was at work. When my papaw called him to tell him, he already knew. When you're really close to someone, you can feel it. As for animals, I think they're one step ahead of us, they don't have to be really close to the creature dying. They can just sense it.

Put it on the bed with the half-dead guy in the other room, and close the door...
