Title: where do you live
Post by: evenhaim on July 27, 2007, 06:59:05 AM: well as you may know i live in tel aviv and last night i thought about maybe giving you guys a peak into israel from my point of view. mind you this is like the first time ive ever used a camera ROFL

the first set are some pics i took of tel aviv from my appartment building

Btw to the christian euro guys who read this we recently had several travel companys set up a 1 day in jerusalem trip up and it costs only about 400Euro from most any country in europe. you land in tel aviv at night and by 5 am your otw to jerusalm kinda like fast food= fast religous visit? were getting loads of europeans here lately.

*shrugs* I don't know to tell you the truth. I know it was with the Multi-National Force & Observers (MFO). He was at the southern-most camp. I know he had some fun visits to sharm el shiek (sp) too.

Is that true? If so then I fit right on in with naked girls and everyone carring a gun!

I would like to visit Israel though, it looks very nice and the people look nice to. Not to be rude just a quick joke, but I now see why the Muslims hate Israel and want it, beautiful beaces, homes, and women :aok

Post by: evenhaim on July 29, 2007, 12:36:10 PM: to vowhoo just about all of the population of israel that is between 18 -23 is in the military and many who are in the military for their whole working lives, i imagine this figure to be about 30-40 % of the population and yes they all carry guns ;) sadly not all the girls are naked but many very beautiful women here. and alot of diversity in population.

WOW bautiful city viking that looks awsome esecially the sr 71 and the meuseum, you are very fortunate to live in a city with such a great muesuem

the church looks impressive too. is it very cold up there? must be huh.
have you talked to nilsen in person i think hes from that same area as well.

I'm no farmer, but we grow most things here. Potatoes, strawberries, grain etc. No apples or oranges though.

anywhere in isreal whenever you here an aircraft its about 99.9% sure to be of the air force. besides in downtown tel aviv that is, i believe we only have 3-4 small civilian airports with very few a/c and even fewer helos in the whole country and about 8-9 iaf bases scattered throughout the country. we also get sonic booms quite often just heard one about an hour ago, and sometimes when you look up at night you can spot a fighter at 40k just be looking for moving lights or glimpsing an afterburner. whatever the effect anywhere in israel you tend to hear alot of fighter a//c traffic above and it can be very loud if you live within 10 miles of and iaf base:)

I know it's odd, but although I spend much of my life commenting on the geography and history of Israel - for instance, I'm currently preaching through Ruth in the mornings and Deuteronomy (or more correctly elleh haddebarim) in the evenings, I've never actually been to modern Israel. Many of my friends have and have been struck by the natural beauty of the place - if only the slogan on the bus wasn't being put to the test on such a consistent basis, I'm sure it would be a more enticing tourist location.

Anyway, thanks for sharing and not getting PNGed.
