Finally! A proper twin engined fighter for the US planeset. I'm tickled.

Figuring it's a D although the C and D were almost identical.

Nice!

LOL no doubt you'll need to escort bombers :)

Hubs would ask where the escorts were for those 3 bombers.... :noid
-
Guppy, why does the one in that image have the teardrop antenna, while the one Waffle's made has the mast-to-mast wire setup on top of that?

That's hub escorting two 80th Headhunter twin engined bombers :)
-
Is it just me or do the wings slant down just a tad too much from the engines?
Either way, she looks great.
:aok
-
It's just camera perspective, Stang. I had a 48th scale model of it a long time ago, and noticed the same thing. They look like they're angled down, but they're pretty much flat (no angle) outboard of the engines. It's a trick of the angles (or at least, it should be)

Cause that's what early 25s had :)
Thinking you just can't see em in the photo I posted.

u guys notice on the one image with all the damage that the flaps on left side are at a different angle then the 1's on the right? I think they fixed the flap bug when they get damaged and disappear.
-
The serial number on the skin is that of a B-25D-5-NA.....
41-29948 thru 41-30172

On the way to the target :)
I'm allowed to have all my parts prior to engaging the baduns:aok

Is the damage model changing?.

He either borrowed or stole it, and he has not yet seen action in it. They never give him a new one, and the old ones that actually belong to him look like Frankenstien's monster all patched and pieced together. How do you think the SAPP disposes of beer cans? We recycle them as patches for his derelicts. Now you know why SAPP guys are always half drunk. They have to keep up with the demand.

woot, John Wayne would swallow Ben Affleck whole then regurgitate him once the stomach acid burnt his flesh off, then Ben's wife would leave him.

Next time I land and it DOESN'T look like this, I will have a party.

Just got home.
This is a very welcome event, even it it does not come as a surprise.
My deepest thanks to all those that voted for the B-25 and supported it with posts.
Waffle, thank you very much for a great model. I truly appreciate it.
Cit, special thanks to you for a beautiful skin. I can't wait to show him.
I will be contacting him tomorrow and telling him for the first time. I didn't want to say anything until it was a reality.
It comes at a very good time. He's in damn good shape for a soon to be 87 year old man. Nonetheless, father time is taking it's toll. He still gets out now and then in his PT-26 although we don't let him go solo anymore.
Just recently though, my mom, his life partner since 1943...what a story that wedding makes. They had a agreed to wait to marry until he returned from the war. He was afraid of making her a war widow. In those early years of the war, the life expectancy of a combat pilot wasn't that great. (Of the 8 guys in the replacement group that shipped over, only he and one other came home.) She went with his sister to visit him in Columbia, SC just before he was due to ship out. They changed their minds and got married against the wishes of her family. They've been together without a hitch ever since.
Anyway, Mom was just diagnosed with her second bout of breast cancer. She survived the first one 37 years ago after a brutal surgery. It was all they knew at the time. She's due for another operation, although this one won't be nearly as severe. She's tough; I have high hopes for success.l
So, this comes at a good time. It will give them something to talk about instead to the 800 pound gorilla in the corner of the room.
My thanks to you all. HT, Pyro, Waffle, Cit ...all the gang. This means a lot to me.
-
Best wishes to both your mom and dad Toad.
Still hoping the 80th 38s can escort him some day in Quitch :)

Did anyone notice the oil smeared on top of the engine nacelle where its been hit? Combine that with the obvious stepped up damage graphics, and I think it gives you a sneak peak at the future of Aces High. Well done HTC! :aok
