I discussed this with a squadmate of mine Kappa who gave me geat advice on winning the situation.
Let me present the scenario,
You have run out of energy
You are slightly above your opponents(many)diving to the deck is NOT an option
You cant out climb them because your energy is gone
An enemy plane is zoom climbing to you has the energy to overtake u easily.
Now, what would you do?
-
Start thinking about what field I'm gonna up from next:D
-
Roll into him nose slightly down in a tight turn and use his E against him. When he passes by roll opposite and pop him on the overshoot.

Hit wep on the LA7 you are in and have immediate equal E states. Easy.
-
stang had it right, turn back into him and make him have to turn back to get u, he will be faster therefore all u have to do is listen for the overshoot and turn back the other way and in behind him into his turn, he will probly sit in the tower for a while trying to figure out what happend to him, he will probly think he got jumped by more than 1 plane LOL.

If I had answers to questions like that, I'd survive a lot more.:)

nope read the scenario warlock
If you tried what you described against someone who can shoot the only one in the tower would be you
Dont forget the con is in a zoom climb under you not approaching fast from your 6 position

Listen for the Overshoot?
No wonder you die so much....
I thought Good sticks "watch" for the overshoot. no?

Turn nose down slightly. try to turn in a circle around him until e states get close. Nose only slightly down if you are too slow otherwise flat turn. he may get a shot but if he misses you wil have an even fight. Also, what plane are you in? If you are in the 38 I assume your friend will be there to bail you out since you guys are always together :D Kiding aside, your plane does matter too. If you are in a Ki84 you will easyly kill him if he misses. He willw aste a lot of e to get the shot in

How far are the other cons that you are slighty above?
are they inside 2k?
Further out?
I needs more details...
What are you in...wats the plane zooming up to you?

It's good thing "Karaya sucks", because "his opinion doesn't matter". :aok

Hoist her up - hammerhead through the stall and go in hoing - kill everyone else - have a gin & tonic.

It really depends on the exact location of the zoom climber but I might invert to keep an eye on him with the idea of a split-s or a roll-out and low yo-yo (depending on our relative positions) when the timing is right to serve 3 puposes:
1. Force his nose into a pure vertical trying for the shot (with the added advantages that the extra pull on the yoke plus the pure vertical bleed his E)
2. Avoid his shot by pulling through just above (from his perspective) his gun solution
3. Gain E myself
From there the fight is on.

Auger so he dont get any perks :)

Just do as Tom Cruise did....
Hit the brakes and let them fly right on by. Yes, Tim Robbins, "You're gonna do what?' is the right answer.

HO him, and die like a man!

When I "listen" for anything, I usually hear the sounds of cannon ripping me in half.
Eyes on target, always.

Well die of course.:aok. That's what happened to me a little while ago in the MA.

Vow to never repeat the mistakes that lead to this FUBAR situation.

HO, and look for the consolation prize (whine) on Ch 200.

Depends if hes on dead six or an angle to me anyways heh. Heat of the moment situation there... Also depends on plane. But i pull a move prob not even a real move and causes them to overshoot and i can get a snap if my timming is good nuff. If hes on my 6 i'll turn into him (left since im in 109k) then pull my little move.:D

Depends very much on the rest of the cons behind/below the lala, but I would prolly go into a very shallow dive to gain some E, then level out and get as much separation between lala and the rest of the cons, until lala caught up to about 1.5k behind you. Then fight him aggressively maintaining alt (using vertical) and hope you kill him before the rest comes in.
-
The problem with these "what if's" is that they are entirely dependent on the other guy. The best laid out plan wont work if the other guy doesn't bite. In this one if the con simply refuses your move....
Since he's behind, below and significantly positive E your only offensive option is a climbing scissor off of an apperent dive for the deck...your turning back into him in a low yoyo of some flavor to create the E you need and the angles you need...the correct front quarter aspect should pull a shot which will lock him into a rolling vertical scissor which he cant win (assuming he's positive E by as much as you thought)....
