Title: Ju-52
Post by: DaddyAck on July 28, 2007, 03:56:29 AM: Ok before we start to pick ol' DaddyAck apart here, let us consider this request....

1.Would give German squads a plane that can drop troops (a c-47 escourted by 109s looks lame)

2.Early in the war it toted bombs as a light bomber and we could confuse the enemy using it as such.

3.While not much, it did have a defensive gun.

we do need somthing other than the C-47 i would be all for it

not really, it can turn pretty well for its size and make the enemies really mad :)

Hey man, I know there are plenty of old threads about this plane, hell I started some of them. Rather than be lame and resurect an ancient thread I chose to make a new one. However if being "cool" and telling me to hit the search function (which after being a member of this comunity for some time now I already know about) makes you feel better then go right ahead. fact of the matter is I like the 52 and think it would be a great option to the c47.

Post by: Hazard69 on July 29, 2007, 10:37:40 AM: I loooove the Ju-52. Its what got me interested in aviation anyway. Besides three engines gives you a chance to lose TWO in an engagement and still struggle home.....

Perhaps we can have maybe 15 troops in the slower trimotor?:eek:

Post by: PanzerIV on July 29, 2007, 10:43:52 AM: It had a capacity of 18, although we probably would only get 10 if we even got it, but it would likely be able to drop supplys, and possibly be able to drop a few small bombs, but that is if, the Ju 52 is added to the aircraft inventory.

It would be a little harder to kill all of the troops when they're on the way to the map-room.

Might make base defense a little more of a challenge.....

I vote yes!

I'd still rather a Me 410 before the Ju 52 though

Post by: OOZ662 on July 29, 2007, 05:31:12 PM: HT stated at the last convention Q&A that if he increases the number of troops in an aircraft, he'll increase the number it takes to capture a field to match. By adding more troops to a Ju-52 (which has 18 troops to a DC-3's 28) you'll simply be increasing the amount of time the enemy has to snipe a couple ontheir way to the maproom.
