Whenever I try to do an object report in the TE my computer will crash and won't let me shut down the TE or stop the object report. Does anyone know how to make it stop? Thanks
-
Have you saved your terrain and exited/restarted the TE?
-
Yes, but would saving twice then exiting make the TE crash?
-
I have been testing in the TE and when I save twice, exit and do an object report, nothing happens it just goes as usual. So I made a new terrain and put in about 7 tiles along with a port, I do an object report and it crashes.:huh
This is really confusing and I just wish to fix it.

After you save the terrain then exit, when you restart the TE are you going to
"File" Open and then reopening your terrain before you do the object report?
-
The terrain that i'm working on is usually on the screen when i start up, would I still have to do file open after it is loaded?
-
Yes to insure any changes take place in the save you made prior to exiting.
Give it a shot and lets see if that fixes the problem...

I tried that and then put a port in. I did another object report and the same thing happened. I still don't know whats wrong.:cry

I was able to duplicate this by not saving the terrain after placing the port.
AFTER you put the port in, save the terrain. Exit and then restart the TE. Your object report will run without a problem.
Whenever you make changes save them, exit the TE and restart it before running reports.
And MrMidi, you do not have to do a file/open when you start the TE and work on the same terrain. It loads automatically without a problem.

Ok thanks for that info NHawk..
I guess I got in that habbit from adding a new .shp object to the texsrc folder
after shutting down the TE to get it to show up in the objects list..

Thanks, I can finally start a new terrain and know it won't crash.
