I'll be up there next weekend. Looking forward to seeing green stuff like trees, and maybe even shooting stuff. Even bought me a new camera for the trip so I can post pictures to make ya'll envious.

Target,
Depending on which route you are taking North, you may be passing right through Grayling (I-75 about 80 miles S. of the Bridge), where Pyroman and I both live.
Send me a PM, and I'll give you my contact info...perhaps you would like to lift a few mugs of suds, or have a bite to eat?
Also, Pacman will be arriving in Traverse City for a week of fishing starting on the 3rd...he said they were going to try their luck in the U.P. and perhaps in Canada as well. We're going to try getting together while he's here.
Let me know...

Go to the Thunder Bowl Off Road Park. Minnesota has a badarse State run ORV park as well.

If you are near Escanaba make sure to get some pasties at Dobbers.
Also, Buck Inn right by the Mead river has great burgers.

I just spent a week up there, well a few miles South of the UP in Lac Du Flambeau. Man, I really had some excellent luck fishing.

Still on the road, but the Yoopee was fantastic. Superior was actually warmish, weather was perfect, family was great. Shot the MN 91-30, took the Xterra out into the woods, jetskied, boated and even got semi-drunk at a bonfire on the beach. Pics to follow.... I'm in Vegas right now.

No but I didn't pitch for them. Last day was perferct for it too but I was catching some very nice smallies, and large mouth so I couldn't bring myself to give it up. Caught 2 4 pounders on consecutive casts, what a rush.
I've never caught a muskie worth bragging about to be honest. 42" is the biggest I've caught.
