I have been gone a while guys. Go easy on my ignorance. I was wondering if I missed something. I have NVIDIA 7950 GTX duel video cards and wanted to fly AH in a multi-monitor mode.
I contacted support to help as I was getting a single cockpit across three screens. I was told that the game has a specific code line that prevents this because it gives an advantage to those few that would use it. This was about a year ago.
Upon my return I see the TrackerIR 4 in use. I was wondering if it is now possible to use multi-monitors, if anyone was doing it. Since (IMHO) both would give basically the same advantage, I would prefer the multi-monitor setup. Is anyone using the Triple Head 2 go system?

On the other hand, the Tracker system could have been in use way before I noticed it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Lots of Track IR users on now condor get it...

Track IR is supported by AH for quite a long time (about 3 years now), and people were using it for even longer using mouse view emulations.
However, TIR and a multiple monitor setup do not give the same advantage. TIR is just another way to control your views, it's akin to mouseview or using joystick hatswitch.
It does neither enlarge your field of view, nor does it give any kind of larger resolution. A TIR user has still the same picture on his screen as any "button" user.

I have been using dual monitors and TrackIR4.
It works well enough. However, AH has a limitation whereby the the vertical aspect of the view is diminished to extend the horizontal aspect. What this means is that to look up or down, the TIR needs to travel much farther.
It's not terrible with two monitors, but with three it would be worse, and may require some amount of screwing with the TIR software to accomodate that limitation.
All of that said, I love my TIR and would recommend to anyone.
Hope this helps

I guess I will have to break out another few bucks for the Tracker now. Would rather do the multi-monitor thing.
I tried to bribe skuzzy to show me how to hack the program to use multi-monitors and just for a second I thought I had him. I said I would give him 20 and he said (Thousand?) When I answered (no, dollars) the last thing I heard was a dial tone. Think he would go for 30? Dollars?
Oh well, I guess it's another wire connected to my head along with my mic, joystick, drink holder, mouse, keyboard, Inflatable hemorrhoid pad, portable deliberator, oxygen hose and ash tray.
IS THEIR NO END TO ALL OF THIS?

How does tracker accommodate looking behind you? Am I right in thinking that his programs moves your views on screen with the move of your head, and the thingy attached to it? I would think it would make it hard to view the screen as you move you head farther around from "forward," or do you just try to keep your eyes on screen? Oh and how much does this cost?

Everything you ever wanted to know but were afraid to ask is just a click away.

If you don't feel like reading all that, basically small head movements are translated to larger view movements.

The idea to hook up three or four monitors is just awesome lol. It would be great if they supported that.

So has anyone got the TripleHead2Go to work with 3 views on AH2?
I use this on IL2 all the time, it is kind of hard to go back to a single monitor if this is all AH2 supports.
