Well after reading the OE Tutorial, the OE help file, the AC3D.txt file
finding the poly ID's
and numorus searches in the forums I managed to find enough info
to get a 3ds model imported
into the AC3D program and saved as a .ac file then imported into
the object editor, then added in a terrain whew i'm exausted......
Not a WWII sim type object but none the less an object, how ever it
would be cool in a desert terrain with a 50cal mounted on the top...

Aww well haven't tried to get that far yet...(driving it) is that possible with the tools we have available to us as far as the TE and OE, could we make a custom AC or vehicle and import it into a terrain?

Not that I'm aware of. No, we can't make any special planes or vehicles that we can fly. However we can attach these custom objects to Task Groups and they will move along with it. Such as XJazz's blimp in his racing terrain. If he attached it to an active task group, it would fly in the terrain, just unmanned.
