Thanks for the Card Weazel (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Leonid, is the lack of red stars on the upper sides of the wings historic? That suprised me.
I think this bird is really gonna suprise (read "scare the ever living crap out of") some people (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Hmmm... so what should my next project be?
The P-47N?
The P-63D?
or the Ki-84Ib?
Leaning towards the P-63 myself, since its another "never been done" aircraft, in any variant.

Definately!!!!! The wingroot intakes seem a bit over sized but she's a real beauty. I'm looking forward to trying her out!!!

I am in LOVE baby!
1 question though.. I thought that blue underbelly was standard for all russian planes after '44. Also- the scoop under the fueselage by the rear wingroots looks too huge, it should be slimmer and more streamlined.
Hmm, as another point, all Yak-9U carried the field mod settings for a RL 3 pack under each wing. There should be a bar halfway down the wings where the rocket frame was bolted on. This is visible on any underview of a yak from '44 on. It was a (usually rusty) steel strip where the frame bolted to. It is VERY visible on any of the Yak-9U pictures from Korea. (all those planes came from the USSR after WWII).

Verm,
From about '42, on, the red star was omitted from the top of the wings on VVS aircraft. My guess if if you're always flying below your enemy (okhotniki excepted), then dropping the red stars was not a bad idea.
And, yes, the Yakovlev looks very, very, hungry.
