wooty!!! nmvd i was looking at aces high not hitechcreations.com lol:D

So?
I can take screenshots at night offline for dramatic effect, too!
I did, in fact, for my black hurr1 skin.
Doesn't mean it has anything to do with the MAs. :D
Remember, folks. Night = lame. :aok
-
Night = Fun
-
Night = avoiding fights. Night = only fun because you want to sneak up unseen and shoot AFK cons. Night = avoiding all detection, avoiding all enemy that can remotely have a chance of harming you, do something without any danger to yourself.
Night = for strat porkers that don't wanna get caught while bombing defenseless targets.
Night = for folks that don't want to lose a fight to an enemy, so they fight at night where the enemy can't see them (while they jack their gamma up through the roof to see highly washed out colors).
You can do all that offline, with the same results. The offline drones never see you coming. Oh, and they're no threat to shooting you down so you can bomb all you like.
Remember, night = when 90+ percent of the arena logged off. Hell even DUSK caused most of the server to log. I know. I was there. I logged with them.
Night = lame.
EDIT: When HTC locks the gamma and automatically compensates for individual monitor bright/gamma settings, counters video card control panel color adjustments, and locks EVERYBODY into the same level of darkness, then talk to me about how fun "night" is.
-
Night was just for the screen shot to show off the guns. Purely cause it looked cool.

I think he was inspired by the B&W photo of a B25J parked with all guns blazing and tracers streaking across the screen, Husky. It does make quite the nice screenshot. :D
-
Looks like she's almost done. Time to start polishing up those cannons to shootem down!
-
What'll it be, motoroil? MG151/20s? Perhaps the Mk108? Or if you're really adventurous, might I suggest the MG131s?
-
<--- can't see well. glad there isn't a nighttime.
Have to put on glasses & adjust the gamma just for dusk.:D
-
Krusty, I completely disagree. I liked night simply because it was a change of pace, and the tracers looked very cool. It was just pure fun for me, not the strat potato porking you claim it to be.
-
Actually, you can "tweak" the color of light during night so it's basically as easy to see as day.
I used to do it all the time for SnapShot's and KOTH.
-
I just noticed it mirrors the nose art .:( Or atleast it seems that way.

What makes you think that?

I think, and Krusty correct me if I'm wrong, what he's saying is people would game the game when we had night and turn their gamma settings way up effectively turn night into day giving them an unfair advantage over players who were playing 'by the rules'.
I'd have to agree with Krusty on this one. If everybody is flying at night and can equally as well or as poorly as I am night would be cool. Until then.. not so much.
-
I may be wrong it might just be lighting bug.

I think they should bring night back into the game, even if only for a short time in game. Night in the off-line is alot diffrent then the night you see on Christmas Eve, you can see just about as good as you can see during the day, just the sky is blackish gray.

Yep. Mensa, some like the "stale atmosphere" so they can see their vultches easier.
-
You can see the armor plate better in the other screenshots. I think that's all it is. In the C/D screenshots you can clearly see it's not mirrored because there's art on only one side.

While I agree night sux...upping the gamma to compensate for it is something HT intented. Hardly, gaming the game. :)
-
HT didn't intend gamma to make "night" as clearly visible as "day"..
It's gaming the game to the extreme.
It's up there with the folks that use scriped faster-than-normal weapon switches and instant fire scripts on AWPs in CS (at least, back when I cared about CS). Never intended.
-
Ask him. It's what he told me to do when I first started playing.
-
Ohh noeeess111one!111eleventy
Thier not having night because I sayz so.
:lol
-
My biggest gripe about night was when it was night in AH, but daytime in my area. I had so much glare off my screen from light coming in through the living room, kitchen, and dining room windows I couldn't see a bleeping thing!
I did figure out how to adjust gamma to compensate. It did allow me to have an advantage over those who didn't or couldn't adjust theirs.
But adjusting it up and down every few hours was a drag.
I do sorely miss the other weather effects we had. I remeber rain and lightning, and wind. I would truly love to see that again, although I can understand why HTC doesn't think it would be fair to some of the less experienced players.

Night time HO Fest
-
I miss night time
-
Night makes it harder to see your enemy, which means you need to be paying even more attention to what you're doing.
Night is the time when Lancs really should be operating, night time bomb drops would be tough, but would create the need for planes to mark targets (new flare ords could solve this) for night drops which could promote more teamwork.
Even having 10 minutes of night would be enough I think.

I know it doesnt foster the" mindless furball, have to land 8 kills" mentality. But hey, that not the only one in there ya know. ;)
-
Dont care much for the massive furrballs containing lalas, nikis and spits myself. I mostly nibble on them and move on to fights higher up. I just dont wanna fly around until i happen to stumble on someone within icon range and having to turn gamma up to sneak a kill ;)
Night time is heaven for milkers, strat bombers and pork-n-run guys tho. Maybe EW or MW arenas could get nighttime :D

Uppity landgrabbers make me giggle :D

^^ have no Idea even how the "landgrab" deal works in this game. Try again. :)

Yep, dont find that in the "day" in AH at all.
-
OK...IMHO "NIGHT" should only be used on Christmas Eve when Santa is flying thru the MA's ...loaded with multiple Vulcan cannons. Did I mention a speed of mach 1.0? :D Did I mention 6,000 rnds?
C'mon Hitech...give us an "Evil Con Mission" in abstensia this year :D
Merry Chrismas :aok
OK NB...you can ask for EW/MW "Evil Sleighs too" heehee
-
u pansies. Nigt time fighting actually took place in WWII, I say let there be darkness :D
