It sounds like a Mk 19 Grenade Launcher to me a 75 rounds a min, I got to use them when i was in the recon attachment with the 1/33rd FA MLRS They do have a automated system that is used also on a Bradley With a NV screen like in the video but I never got use one of those  wonderful weapons.

Never send a grunt where you can send a bullet. The bigger the round the better.

I'm leaning toward the video being a Mk-19 from a HMMV with one of the various remote targeting systems employed.
The flat trajectory looked right for a Mk19.  The 25mm has a flatter trajectory, and it's rounds are AP, whereas the blasts looked more like those from a Mk19's 40mm rounds.

The screen didn't look detailed enough for a Bradley or Stryker, but looked right for a remote station on a HMMV or MRAP...... but then last time I was mechanized, Combat Engineers were still using M113's for the most part.

Any Bradley or Stryker drivers out there that can confirm this was or wasn't one?

I was a gunner in the M2A2 ODS Bradley.  While the screen doesn't look right, you can hear the exhaust fan kick on after the third round.  Not sure if they would install an exhaust fan for an external mount.

One thing that stuck me was the lack of the chain drive sound in the video.  When we would fire the 25mm all you would really hear (from the turret) was the exhaust fan and the motor cycling the bolt.  You really didn't hear the actual report of the round being fired.  About the tragectory, there could be quite a bit of zoom on that view.  Also there are quite a few rounds for the 25mm, APDS and  HEI among others.

The computer will adjust your elevation based on the range to the target and what round you have loaded in the active belt.  So he was firing HEI the whole time but as he is slewing to the left you can see a round impact and not detonate.

It sure sounds like it might be taken from a viewer in the rear of the vehicle.  Maybe it was a stryker?  Just a guess there, but it convinces me it was a 25mm Bushmaster chain gun.

The "fan" sound could also be from the AC units they bolt onto HMMV's (and probably MRAP's) in Iraq.  That's a common modification.  It also sounds a lot like the radio equipment like when you key the mic to send a message while on high power with a SINCGARS or Falcon-III set.

At the beginning, before the first round fired, you hear what might be the manual (or mechanical, depending on the remote system used) cycling or chambering of an Mk19 weapon.

The screen is what sells me on a remote mount to a HMMV or MRAP.... just seems a little simplistic for a Bradely or Stryker system, but I don't have hands on with any of those systems.

But you've more experience with the 25mm that I have.  Mostly our heavy weapons were Mk19's and M2's.  And I've no idea on the screen magnification that could be in use there.... if 1:1 or so, I'd say a 40mm round.  If high magnification, then you are probably right with the 25mm.

What I was thinking of with the view was a "commanders" position in the troop compartment of the vehicle.  Also if it was the Mk19 you would hear the bolt being slammed forward for each round fired.

This is an interesting one :)

I think Hi mag was 10:1 or so.

Was that a deer that shot at.  If you look what ever they were shooting at had 4 legs.  Now I dont claim to be an expert and target requisition, but it looks like a 4 legged animal they where shooting at.

Wonder how good the meat tasted after that hail of lead.

You are joking, aren't you?

I don't remember deer in Iraq.  I certainly wouldn't expect deer to be planting IED's along the roadside.

Its not a deer it someone running with something in there hand. I can see were it kinda looks like a four legged thing but its not. There is no deer in Iraq and a camel would be bigger than that but you can see what ever they are carrying wave back and fourth in there hand.

The part where you see 4 legs is when the combatant got hit and was trying to crawl...the next 4 rounds disentigrated him probably!

That's a Mk.19 not a Bushmaster, only the Mk'19 has that unique spud launcher thumping sound.

Here's a Bushmaster: http://youtube.com/watch?v=CNL1BPQx0wM

vs a Mk.19: http://youtube.com/watch?v=onyplCJHTZs&mode=related&search=

Both clips are less than 20 seconds...

While Being former Light Infantry I have also spent alot of time with Mechanized Units.  I have to agree that is a MK 19  and that it was attached to the C.R.O.W.S. (Crew Remotely Operated Weapon System)  I got to play w/ one once in Iraq and I think that is what the screen was from.  CROWS is a great system and I wish we had more of them as they can still clear a feed jam, carry more ammo and most importantly keep the Gunner DOWN!!!

Also, The Bradley can carry HE with a 25 meter kill radius for anti-personnel, but that was def a MK19.  BTW, Great Vid
