Birddog was a vietnam plane.
Forward air control, would carry smoke rockets to mark targets for heavy's
Or carry small rocket pods to lend close ground support.
Not a ww2 device.

Altho in ww2 i think just about every nation had some type of scout/recon plane.
I just dunno the planes names exactly.

The L-19 Birddog came in at the end of World War Two. It DID in fact see service during the war, but wasnt very famous until Vietnam. The aircraft is still in service, in fact, I flew one last weekend. Great little plane. Lots of pep. But not guns.

Is it in the hangar?

Then no.

it is not
although giving fighters and attack planes the option to mark targets with smoke would be a nice option.

Tracers and rockets work just fine when spotting for the mud puppies.  Plenty of planes work in the spotter role already in the hangar.

Which model of the Lysander had 20mm?  Every model I've built, or
picture I've seen had nothing bigger than a .303.  gunner trainer version did have 4 in a tail turret> :)

Please note the original poster is now PNG. Let the topic die  (and the Cessna with it).

Only too glad to let it die- but-

What does PNG mean?  I see Persona Non Grata, but don't know what that means here...

If HTC is going to model a new plane, it sure seems we could think of a better one than the Cessna.
