IMHO this is one ugly aircraft.. but it sorta grows on you.
Still need to add serial # and customize a few things for this particular plane.

fencer I would recomend two books for you on luftwaffe colors that have authentic paitn chips in them. expensive and very hard to skim through but if you read through it all it is quite enlightening.
luftwaffe camoflage and markings 1933-1945 volume 1 and 2.
I got my set off amazon.com
I think you will find the colors quite different than what you might be used to.
-
What RLM shades did it say? What numbers? They don't quite look normal (not even the combination of them, that's so unique I'd have demanded somebody skin it regardless! :D ), just each individual color seems a tad abnormal.
The cowling green seems more mint green than I'd imagine it should. The brown and green are so dark they're running into each other even on my home monitor (as opposed to my work monitor). At first I didn't even see that you had 2 colors there.

Yeah I think the cowling green might be too light in game as compared to photoshop..
Cit, I will look into getting those when I get some more book money saved up.

Great work Fencer! All that's left is to load the tater gun!
-
Wow, another nicely done job Fence! :aok
I might have to join the JG11 and start my trucking in the Luftwaffe birds :D .
-
That is one sexy bird.
-
Fantastic job Fencer can't wait to fly with this skin.
Your work is much appreciated.

Fencer, the underwing crosses most probably didn't have their white outlines at that late stage of the war.
EDIT/ It is barely showing in the pic taken from the belly but do you have those engine cover's (which houses the oil cooler) quick locks on the right side of the fuselage as well? The cover was hinged to from the right side to the cowling so obviously no locks on the right side. ;) /EDIT
EDIT2/Sorry a brain fart, the one that is showing on the right side should be there but if there are the two lower ones further back of the nose, take them away/EDIT2
-
I know I probably wasn't making much sense above so...
Those quick locks shouldn't be there as the lower engine cover was hinged from the right side. Also I would consider a bit more thinner panel lines the current ones really jump out too much right now IMO. Also a take a look on some of the smaller details and compare them to photos.
-
Right, I will fix the latches.
Also, the panel lines are dark because I put a layer of "dirt" over them. I will play with it and see if I can lighten it up while still giving the look from the photos.
[edit] Wow had the PL blk layer on 20% opacity...
-
sexy.
-
that looks great

Nice job. :aok
